Hmmm that’s very interesting! Some couples do bicker a bit more than others, but it’s important to keep an eye on things, especially since you are noticing this happening daily.
How old are they? Just curious because sometimes male rabbits can have an increase in hormonal behaviors as they get older, leading to an increase in mounting, etc.…[Read more]

well wouldn’t ya know it, I found a liquid multivitamin for rabbits. Ordered some, will report back once I try it! It didn’t have a ton of reviews but appears to be sold mainly by vet retailers so I think it seems safe. In my discussion with my friend at the rescue she did mention that some addition nutritional support or a probiotic might be good…[Read more]

I’m sorry for a lack of information, I was typing this on the phone initially. They are normal almost all day when together. I’ll literally sit working beside them and they will flop Superman posed or loaf posed side by side, like really snug. They’ll even pass out on top of each other(both are very sound sleepers and asleep they have no issue…[Read more]

Oh I haven’t heard of giving vit-E and selenium. What dosing do you use?

Hmmm, the scuffle doesn’t sound too bad. Sometimes there can be little tiffs in bonds that resolve on their own.
Can you supervise them in a neutral location for a bit? I suspect they may be able to work out whatever disagreement this was.

This aggression is hormonally driven, and worsened by the fact that your buns are housed near but not together with other intact buns. It is “normal”, so itsnot worrisome in that respect.
I recommend using thick gardening gloves when you do cleaning etc. If they bite the gloves you can be more or less indifferent to their biting. This is…[Read more]

My two male rabbits have been bonded for two years now as I bonded them in 2020 . NZW and mini rex. They ate together, slept together side by side(still do) and did mutual grooming as well as did mutual humping.
Both are healthy and have healthy appetites, bowel movements, friendliness, etc.
But recently they stopped doing the mutual things…[Read more]

Try some Bach Rescue Remedy for pets. Might need help administering it or you can put it on a treat they like that will soak it up.

So far, they seem to like it. You can opt out of treats and get more toys.

I’m sorry you didn’t see continued improvement. Do you think giving some Vit E + selenium would be worth a try?

All my rabbits have become aggressive because they are not spayed or neutered and have hit puberty where there hormones are raging. They are all in separate enclosures. Its becoming very difficult to to feed/clean and water them because they lunge at me and bite. One even chased me. I really need to find a way of calming them down because I don’t…[Read more]

I will keep trying that’s all I can really do and just hope I can get an appointment whenever possible and try and make the best out of a bad situation for the rabbits although sometimes I just feel so helpless and frustrated that I can’t get them treatment soon enough this is only going to lead to more pets going into shelters if vet care starts…[Read more]

I am very worried the pregnancy thing I’m hoping none of them are going to have babies because its hard as it is trying to get the three I have vet treatment. Eventually “if not to late” the vet will be able to confirm if they are pregnant or not.

Good Morning,
It’s been about 7 months since her first initial diagnostic appointment, and about 6 months post op. I just wanted to provide an update after her first official recheck on August 26th. Proud to say that there are no new growths and she still ha a clean bill of health! No behavioral changes after surgery. She went right back to…[Read more]

Often with pregnant rabbits you won’t know anything until a few hours before they give birth, because they wait until right before to make the nest.
Important things are to provide a nest box and make sure she has plenty of food and water.
