I agree! How old is your bun though? Baby buns don’t tend to be so territorial due to lack of hormones so peeing on you could just be a sign that she needs litter training. However, about 5 ish months onwards I agree with Dally, likely territorial behaviour, shes marking you! – assuming no other symptoms. 😊

Perhaps just smoking outdoors would be a better options as there is very little risk of smoke inhalation for the bunnies. Rabbits have very sensitive airways and are prone to respiratory infections so anything that could contribute as an airway irritant such as smoke should is best completely separate from the buns. Hope that helps!

Believe it or not, That’s actually a sign they love you! Buns are very territorial, and they are trying to mark you with their scent to tell any other rabbits in the area to stay away.

I was wondering what does it mean if a rabbit pees on you? My baby bunny has peed on me 3 times since I’ve had her. The first two times was when i was giving her treats on my lap then she decides to pee and hop off. The third was just now when she got a bit of a messy bum so I was holding her in my arms to clean her up but when I let her go she c…[Read more]

Could just be molting. Also, some bunnies just get a bit thin on the back of the ears.

It is hard to say for sure. From the picture, it looks like the area underneath has been wet for some time. This will cause the fur to fall out, but since the top is crusty this “dead” fur is held in place. When you and your bunny tried to clean it, part of this clump came loose and revealed the bald skin below. As for the cause… there are a…[Read more]

    Hello,

My bunny has been having a build up of eye crust. It is mostly on his right eye and a small amount of fur was pulled off by the bunny while cleaning his face after using a damp towel to loosen the crust. His left eye is pretty clear minus a micro amount of crust that comes every now and then. I am mostly focused on his right eye right now…[Read more]

LBJ10 replied to the topic Teeth grinding-when to know they are in pain? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 2 years, 9 months ago

Sometimes tooth grinding needs to have context in order to be interpreted. Some bunnies are just louder than others when they tooth purr. If your bunny seems generally content, then that is likely all it is – purring. If your bunny seems restless or hunched or is displaying other symptoms of pain, then it could be tooth grinding in response to…[Read more]

It is good that you are asking, rather than assuming it will be OK. Thank you! Marijuana smoke is not something you want to expose your bunny to. If you smoke, I would suggest doing it in a way that your bunny will not come in contact with the smoke. You have to keep in mind that they are much smaller than you, so it would take a lot less for them…[Read more]

    Hello,

I have a two year old loin head mix,

recently I notice her teething grinding is louder than usual.
usually it’s pretty hard to hear and only when I’m petting her.
but today i can hear it without touching her but she is next to me so idk if that’s loud enough to be pain.
she is still eating and pooping. But also when she is eating it seems…[Read more]

Thank you both! You gave me the nudge I needed to call and at least seriously look into it further. It’s helpful to have an idea of the cost going in. I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to use the company’s name on here, but the rabbit rescue that told me that also said Nationwide was the only one. I’m glad that helped get you and your sweet bun connected!

No, no, and no.  If you feel the need to get high is more important than your pets safety, eat some edibles and stay far away from all animals.

High people do stupid things!  They called it dope for a reason.

LBJ10 replied to the topic Selective Naturals ingredients, is locust bean really safe for bunnies? in the forum DIET & CARE 2 years, 9 months ago

In general, legumes are not toxic to rabbits. They can, however, be fattening. So eating some as a treat shouldn’t be harmful. You will find a lot of things containing legumes (beans, peas, etc.). So I wouldn’t be too concerned about those ingredients if the product is intended to be a treat.

As Bam pointed out though. If you used these treats to…[Read more]

Great! Mites cause the skin to become uneven and thick.

    Could it be just molting?
