The jumping over maneuver is actually another dominance behavior, like humping or requesting grooming.

Oh and Miu does this thing where she runs up to him and the leaps over him in a u-turn. I don’t know quite what it means.  Dorian seems excited by it, but isn’t doing anything much. (His mounting attempts have been rejected and he is not pushing it)

Sandy doesn’t seem to mind car rides too much. I’m just hoping if we do decide to take him along for the ride he doesn’t think we did something awful to Starlight.

I imagine it will be OK to wait. It’s not like there is anything there that wasn’t already there. The abscess bursting might actually be a good thing because the pressure has been relieved. I would just clean it up as best you can and then notify the vet tomorrow. They may or may not want to see her.

It would be good to keep in mind the environment that he came from. He was likely used for breeding and for showing. He wasn’t a house rabbit. How does Sandy do in the car? If it isn’t stressful for him, then I don’t see the harm.

I’m really hoping she doesn’t freak out because Sandy (her bonded mate) won’t be with her at the vet for her surgery. I brought Sandy to the vet for her last appointment but I don’t know if I could just bring him for the car ride with her. Any recommendations?

Thank you for sharing! Gives me some ideas for my skittish bun, he hates being pet and probably thinks he’ll die when I pick him up but he’d do absolutely anything for his pellet so mayhaps I can incorporate that
