Hey Ziggys coming home Thursday. But I have a problem I’ve moved Zelda(not spayed) upstairs in the spare bed room. When Ziggy(neutered)comes home his room is down the hall I’m planning to to put a baby gate in the middle of to hall.  My room is across from Ziggys. The problem is I’ve been letting Zelda play and sleep in my bed so cute. But thats Ziggy domain I’am going to have a fight.WHAT SHOULD I DO PLEASE HELP.

I’m sure you must be excited that Ziggy is coming home

well, there very well may be issues with Ziggy knowing another bunny has been on his turf. I would recommend washing your sheets and such – the main concern is that he may feel the need to mark everything since it doesn’t smell like him. You can also use diluted white vinegar and water on any things of his she might have used – like the litterbox and such.

did Ziggy just get neutered? If so, make sure not to let Ziggy and Zelda near each other until a month post neuter to ensure he doesn’t impregnate her. Rabbits are truly amazing and I’ve heard stories about them getting pregnant through separate cages nearby – so imagine only a baby gate separating them isn’t enough. You might be able to use some cardboard too, so they’re not able to get at each other.

No Ziggy wasen’t there for neutering he’s already done he was there for a ear infection. My vet keep him because of my broken foot. But he’s coming home tomarrow yeh. The poor guy thinks he’s being adopted out again I hope not. I miss him badly that’s why I let Zelda move up stairs.

As Gravehearted said – it would be a good idea to wash anything that is on Ziggy’s area because that will cause him to start marking all of his territory with poops. The baby gates are a good idea, but when you are not home, it might be a good idea to close the doors to the bedroom if you think that either of your bunnies are capable of hopping OVER the baby gate!
