• When I adopted one of my rabbits, Grace, we bought her pet insurance because she was missing one of her eyes, had an injury in the other eye, and the vet thought she had some neurological issues. After 3 years of having vet insurance, all of our other bunnies went to the vet at least once, and Grace had never been at all, haha!

  • I can’t seem to find anywhere that says specifically that beechwood is safe for rabbits, however, it is not a poisonous wood, and as bam mentioned, if it is meant to be used for human wood, it probably doesn’t have any varnish or coating that would be detrimental to your bunny. I am fortunate enough to have a willow tree in my yard, so my bunnies…[Read more]

  • Hi, Yes your bunny generally should be eating her cecotropes, and if you are seeing a lot around, it could be an indication that something needs to be adjusted in her diet. What kind of foods and what quantity does she get right now? It sounds like her regular poops are somewhat firm and dry if you can pick them up, so that is a good sign.…[Read more]

  • Hi Casandra, you found a great place to ask questions about your bunny!  I will have to defer to someone else regarding the tummy tea for a young rabbit since I haven’t used it myself before.  Have you read the House Rabbit Society information regarding bunny diet? It is especially important to read when you are getting a young bunny.  You can…[Read more]

  • I have a little dwarf sized chinchilla colored bunny who changed colors quite a bit since he was a baby. He was white and copper colored as a baby, with a chinchilla kind of pattern, but not much grey. Then the gray starting coming in on his back, kind of like a saddle, until is spread across all of him. Now I can see a little of the white and…[Read more]

  • Will Oreo eat anything at all? Sometimes I think my bunnies are uncomfortable and in stasis, and then I offer them some veggies or a small treat and they jump up I also have a bunny who often gets gas and acts similar to how you are describing. I use the simethicone that comes in tablets (I think it does have a mint flavor). I crush one…[Read more]

  •  Thanks for the warm welcome!! My crew is doing great We have one bunny that seems to have about 9 lives, she has recovered from stasis about 4 times now, as well as a stroke that left one side of her body somewhat un-useable, but she recovered fully from that as well (it may not have been a stroke, that was just our guess).  I’ll try to include…[Read more]

  •  Helloooo everyone! It has been a long time since I have been on BinkyBunny, but I had to stop by and say thank you!  I am still volunteering with North Texas Rabbit Sanctuary, and I refer pretty much everyone I meet to BinkyBunny because of the great tips, the great information, and the great people on the site.  I just wanted to let all of you…[Read more]

  • Thanks for the good wishes everyone! I wasn’t around because I had a few busy months, so I’m hoping to be around more now All the bunnies are doing well, except Juli has had stasis twice, so we had to switch to being a pellet free household. Now Amelia just likes to throw her dish around like she’s asking me why its even in her cage if I don’t…[Read more]
