Charlie has 3 different things going on.

She has a left ear infection. She showed no sign of this at home as far as digging or shaking her head.

She has a tall point on a tooth also on the left side.

She has some GI Stasis. There was a hard lump in stomach, but X-ray and bloodwork showed no blockage.

        treatment plan:

        Meloxicam for pain

        Motility med continue

        Antibiotic ear flushing

        sub-q fluids

        Critical care fine grind

Vet said our at home care was good over the holiday weekend. Of course I feel awful … I had no idea about her ear. Tooth I was suspecting. GI stasis we have dealt with before.

Vet said the hard lump in stomach should dissolve and pass. Tooth will need to be surgically taken care of with grinding, but she wants to wait until she is in better shape. Charlie has pottied several times since we got home… not as fluffy as I’d like to see but things are moving. She ate a little Timothy hay, but it’s just hard for her. She definitely is hungry. Critical care is 4-6 times a day. We are to contact vet in a couple days if things don’t get better.
