        Hi everyone,

My bunny got spayed this past Wednesday and spent the night in the hospital so I picked her up yesterday afternoon. Since being brought home she has been eating and pooping but not drinking water or peeing. I am super concerned and have already started syringe feeding her but she is yet to pee. I called my vet and they said it shouldn’t be concerning if she is eating and pooping (mind you she has been home for almost 24 hours now) but I fear she will become to dehydrated or there is a problem as to why she is resistant to pee?

If anyone could give their input or advice I’d really appreciate it, or any guesses as to what is going on. Thank you in advance I am so scared!!!

Sometimes a bun wont pee if its in pain. I assume you did get pain meds for her though, since she was kept over night.

Its a bit weird that she hasnt peed at all, but it’s not so weird that she hasn’t drunk – vets as a rule give fluids, sub q or iv. It sounds very good that she has eaten and pooped. How does she seem otherwise? Is she moving around at all?
