Does anyone have a place where they get free or cheap  boxes for their buns? I can’t really get any at work and I hate to pay lots for them. Any ideas would be great!!

      You mean like cardboard boxes??

Normally you can go to virtually ANY department store and they’ll gladly give you any boxes that they’ve emptied. I work at Walgreen’s and I snag tons of boxes there all the time. All they ever do with them is put them in the trash compactor.

Also try a bookstore. Thy’re not too big, sturdy, and don’t have much ink printed on them. Liquor stores have tons, but they are usually colorful.
Office supply stores have them, both from unpacking and for sale. (Like Office Depot and Staples.)
      I’ve moved a lot. LOL

Try like costco or walmart. They usually have boxes there that you can get. Or you can try posting on free cycle.

Also, I got mine on recycling night in my neighborhood… it’s a good way to meet your neighbors and generally somebody on the block has boxes out to be recycled…

You can also try craigslist.org I always see people saying that they just want to get rid of their moving boxes. Sometimes they ask for $$ but many times they are free.

Liquor stores (especially grocery chain liquor stores) stack their empty boxes for customer’s to take. They are super sturdy and clearly had no pesticides in them (from veggies) LOL

I get two piece apple boxes from my fruit market, they have a top that can be just lifted off. They’re very sturdy and probably smell like apples – which has to be a plus!!!! So, try your local fruit market!

My favorite place to get boxes is Sam’s Club. They even have the boxes in large metal cage-like things near the checkout.

Most anywhere. Try Walmart, bookstores, Sam’s club, and any locally owned grocery stores. Good luck

I usually get mine from Sam’s…I like them because they usually have cut outs already made into them..which makes it easier if making a play house for the buns, or a hiding spot because you don’t have to cut that hole out since it’s already there.  We just went last night and then this morning I made Tucker a playhouse that he’s loving so far..now my only issue is where do I KEEP the boxes now that I got them!

The bulk stores are great because they’re usually nice sizes that already have openings!!
I get mine from a store called BJ’s. They always have 3-5 big metal carts full of them!
And if you’re ever feeling like making a bunny castle, refridgerator/dishwasher stores give the boxes away too!

Grocery stores, electronics stores, department stores, office supply stores, book stores – and if you have one near you – a paper supply store. Paper weighs a ton, and the boxes tend to have very little writing on them. You can also try local factories – a lot of them get tons of supplies in and have no further use for the boxes.

Liquor stores-no chemical residues in the boxes, sturdy sturdy boxes They usually stack them up by the exit so you don’t even have to ask, can just walk in and have them
