As long as there isn’t something going on in his ear (ear infection, ear mites, etc.), then it’s possible that he has a little bit of lop mixed in there. Sometimes lop mixes have helicopter ears.

I’m planning on trying another in the bathroom now I’ll have more time, but I’ll clean it with white vinegar and hopefully get an x-pen to better block spots they’ll hide in and fight over. Abscesses do typically show up on x-rays, but they don’t always show up very well. Vets will often try to get x-rays from different views to help identify abscesses and whether or not infection is spreading (i.e. to the bone).
