Hello all!

And then an hour after that, one of my bunny seemed to flop then all of the sudden my other bunny disturbed him? Also both…[Read more]

I saw Ollie humping cinnimon even though they are bonded. I am confused why. He never humped her when we were bonded them.

I would bring them in a pet stroller or pet sling ( which would be better? ). My local target is never busy, there hasn’t been a single time where I went and there were more than 50 people ( including workers ).

Hello, I’m writing about my bun Winston, he is about a year and a half and has been neutered. We’ve had him for a year now and have always put him in his cage to sleep for the night. He is a free roaming bun during the day on the first level of house but to sleep I always have more peace of mind & sleep knowing he’s safe in his cage for the night…[Read more]

There will be dosage recommendations pn the Benebac package. It comes as a powder or as a gel. Accidental overdosing is unlikely, there isnt really a max dose. Any surplus just get pooped out. You give it for as long as you see fit, then it can be given occasionally as needed.
Its great that you have timothy hay! There are other types of hay too…[Read more]

@Dorian: yes it’s crazy, and their attitude isn’t helping anybunny. I’ve talked to someone who is in the rat community, and it seems to be the same for rats. When they got wind of it that he owned one rat, he was sent away. The guy is a licenced animal caretaker…
I owned one rat too for a while: her sister had just passed away and I found out…[Read more]

Just correcting an error I made with “ The blue eyes make it even more likely”. I think I got waylaid by something in page I had linked. The breed standard is brown eyes, but blue can occur- especially if Vienna gene in the line. (I think!) that gene can be responsible for some interesting markings in rabbits.

So, I took him to a vet the day after that, thankfully it wasn’t blood and she said to let it be for now, if it happens again I will take a sample and let them do microscopic examination. The same goes for coccidiosis, she said there’s no need to be scared right now. I really hope she is right.
He looks good, he finally got vaccinated too, as he…[Read more]

Also, sometimes you can find the exact same item….litter, cleaning products, etc.,… cheaper if marketed for cats, rather than small animals.
Why…??? No idea.
I use the crumbled paper litter, same brand, same product and about $4 cheaper to buy the cat version…same with cage/litter box box wipes.

Hi,
I have a very happy, healthy bun. He loves eating hay which is great. I usually buy oxbow Timothy hay and I know he prefers it because he gets very excited about it. Occasionally my pet store is sold out and I have to use a different brand. He doesn’t love other brands but usually eats it.
This time the only hay in the pet store was a…[Read more]

How would you be bringing them in the store?
A typical pet crate would be cumbersome. Maybe a pet stroller?
But yes, do a couple quick trials at quite stores to see how they like it.

For my Guinea Pigs, I use the pine pellets with Aspen on top, for the very reason you mentioned, works great.

Just weird thoughts that pop into my head…
Could a rabbit have plain shredded wheat cereal? It’s high in fiber!
I was just thinking some of our friends here seem to lack access to hay, would this help?
I have fiber on the brain. One of my dogs recently development anal gland issues, so have been giving her high fiber supplements and have p…[Read more]

In terms of separation, did you separate them completely via room? Did they still appear distressed if just separated by a pen wall? Also, just to provide another perspective, there are times we assume feelings onto our rabbits that aren’t actually there or not to the degree mentioned. I would think 2-3hrs of proximal separation could be OK.…[Read more]

Apologies for not getting a rapid response after your posting, but just mentioning that I agree at this point, it seems like a naturally-occurring callous to keep an eye on generally.
