You’re doing a great job! And yes the internet can be overwhelming, lots of opinions! It can be a case of “too many cooks” sometimes for sure.
I try to focus on the behaviors I’m seeing, and whether there’s an increase in positives (grooming, snuggling, relaxing, self grooming, etc.) and a general decrease in negatives (fighting, lunging, biting,…[Read more]

Okay, sorry if you’ve repeated yourself!
That makes me feel a better, I think sometimes reading the Internet doesn’t always help as some articles i have read about bonding give a lot of attention to the whole hierarchy thing so they can easily plant a seed of doubt when things aren’t turning out as black and white as some information online.…[Read more]

Oh cool! 🙂 Yeah I will have to try that, when I reply to here I press add media and try to upload them but keep running into the “Sorry, you are not allowed to attach files to this post.” when I try the actual upload into the media manager. Thank you

I know Milo had a lot going on. He was a fighter for sure, but sometimes the problems just keep piling up and it becomes too much for them. The food falling out of his mouth was probably the facial paralysis. I believe we talked about that in one of your threads. One side looked bigger than the other because of the paralysis.
Don’t beat yourself…[Read more]

Myra is a California mix of some sort, so not a lop but she has the same coloration. 🙂
There have been some issues with adding images to posts since the site update. If you add them to your profile (as though you are going to change your profile pic) they should stay in your media library and then you can add them to a reply.

I found some more great pictures of Milo I am just not sure how to attach, I tried to attach them in a similiar fashion as I did previously but it said could not be attached to this post.

Thank you, I sure did 🙁 Yes unfortunately there was a lot going on and matters were made worse was the food and especially water that would roll out of his one side of his lip and end up all over his fur/below him. I’m still not sure what was going on but it seemed one cheek was slightly bigger than the other, he appeared to be able to eat…[Read more]

LBJ10 replied to the topic Hi!! Here's my boy, Leo! in the forum THE LOUNGE 4 years, 9 months ago
He’s beautiful! He looks like the tri-color in a tri-colored Rex… but he doesn’t have the Rex fur. I agree he is probably a mix. The Rex fur type is a recessive gene, so it’s possible to have a Rex mix without the Rex fur type.

I’m very sorry for your loss.
It sounds like she was really sick. It must’ve been a slow growing form of masses.
Its not likely that her leg issue had anything to do with her death that you could have prevented.
There would have been nothing you couldve done differently. I’m glad she got a few more years with you after she was diagnosed with…[Read more]

You may even be able to line the whole closet floor with tiles, that could provide a nice flat surface for the bin hopefully would make them give up!

Welcome to BB! He looks very much like a general mix to me, but very cute none-the-less. If he’s 4.5yo and only 3.5lb, that is on the smaller end of things, so perhaps some dwarf got in there, but not a full dwarf as they don’t really get above 2.5lb. Very cute bun– hello and welcome Leo!

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Stomach gurgling in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 9 months ago
It sounds like there’s gastric distress. Tummy sounds can be normal on occasion– it’s just an auditory cue that gas is moving around; however, it being constant is more a signal of chronic gassy distress. It makes sense that his poo would be a bit runnier as well, considering this symptom.
Has he been eating anything unusual/different these past…[Read more]

I have not tried the fleece digging corner but I would be worried about it because my other bunny Ollie eats fleece like its banana. They have a normal cat scratcher and a spaceship cat scratcher but still prefer carpet. I can’t block it because I have a bin that goes there but they fit behind the bin (the bin can’t go anywhere else…[Read more]

For the last 3 days, my bunny’s belly has been making noises almost all the time which is unusual for him. He’s been eating, drinking and pooping normally, however few more runnier poops showed today (not diarrhea, they just weren’t hard). His behaviors hasn’t changed in any way. Is it normal for his stomach to gurgle that much?

Itsmekt started the topic Hi!! Here's my boy, Leo! in the forum THE LOUNGE 4 years, 9 months ago
Leo is roughly 4 years a old and weighs about 3.5 lbs. I’ve racked my brain over the years trying to determine his breed. He is not one to jump in your lap and cuddle but he LOVES attention and constant pets. He free roams upstairs and spends most of his time lounging.

Ok I will keep up stress only. That is exactly what I did last night, put them in the carrier and walked up and down the steps. It was good exercise too! After the steps I sat them on my lap to calm down and see how they were, but they were just shaking and Ruby started leaning on the side of the carrier instead of Max :(. I’ll do the car to…[Read more]

I’m also very sorry for your loss. 🙁
Was she spayed? I am wondering if the masses were reproductive cancer based on her age. I agree with Wick that the leg may have been a symptom of something else.

I’m so sorry for your loss, you really went through so much with Milo. 🙁
Of course I have no way of knowing was exactly happened, but Milo was dealing with a couple very serious illnesses, and my overall suspicion is that his immune system was quite weakened (possibly by the snuffles at first, or maybe even genetic causes) and that led to a…[Read more]
