My bunny lost 180 gms over a month after the stasis. My second vet and specialist recommended I give him 1 teaspoon of pellet. I agree his hay consumption has significantly improved and I cut down his vege and CC. Now I am unsure about the pellets. the hay tea smelled really good to me and she gave it a few licks but ultimately lost interest. I tried syringing the water she spit almost all of it out. She isn’t eating much of her veggies, let alone when they are soaked, the water  demotivates her.

Well… vets have been wrong before. But assuming you have one of each, I would say that it is unlikely they won’t attempt to mate at some point. The problem is that it can happen in literally seconds and it will be too late. Letting them play together is asking for trouble.

What kind of chew sticks? Twigs?

You can start introducing veggies at 12 weeks. I would say 12 weeks is a good time for fresh grass and weeds. Just make sure nothing has been treated with pesticides or contaminated by other animals.

How big is her enclosure? Can you line it with several layers of fleece?

I’m sorry your bunny isn’t feeling well. Can you syringe some water in her mouth? Give her veggies dripping wet?

My impression is that dehydration is involved with more stasis cases than people talk about. Her dehydration could have also gotten worse once she started feeling bad. 🙁

Okay so she’s pooping and starting a long road to recovery. The vet said this was caused by severe dehydration. So I order to avoid this from happening again she needs more water. I really needs advice and how to get her to drink. Now keep in minds I’ve tried:

Oh I understand!! I agree, it can be so heartbreaking to see other rabbits in poor conditions. 🙁
