It does sound like he has a lot of gas. Its good if you can get jim to move around a bit, but definitely do not chase him. Keep giving him the baby gas drops. Also try to elevate his butt like LBJ suggested.
He really needs vet care. A vet could give him sub q fluids and pain meds.

So its been a while but we are at a point where I am in the home stretch, at lest I hope. I had a bit of a set back on Thanksgiving weekend to rushing it and my boy got territorial over the space and was keeping Violet away from everything(litter box mainly) and she was hiding from him so I separated and went back a few steps. I went back to the…[Read more]

A vet visit where you express your concerns and observations is always good — it’s very possible for an underlying condition to be causing inability to gain/maintain healthy weight and lethargy. I will leave diagnostic interpretations to the professionals!
Medical illness aside, some rabbits are a bit lazier than others, and there are anecdotal…[Read more]

Hello!
As some of you may know I have recently adopted a rescue lion head Bella, 4yr old spayed female and we are currently bonding her with my OG lionhead Glenn.
I am starting to become a little worried about her lack of exercise.
For a quick bit of background, the rescue said they think she was kept her whole life in a hutch without a pen…[Read more]

Thank you for the update! There really is something so healing about welcoming a new bun into your home, especially when they are so spunky!
I’m sure she will take good care of Sylvester. <3

So, odds are high that it will work out if you are willing to put some time in. There are rare instances of bunnies that just hate each other or don’t like other rabbits, but this is pretty rare. There was a large survey done by the UK rabbit welfare association that found that around 95% of attempted pairings between male and female buns…[Read more]

Okay, so there are these transparent baseboard protectors on Amazon, and they’re really aesthetically pleasing. They’re made of silicone and they’re bendy so you can stick them on wall corners and baseboards you don’t want buns to chew!
(I can’t add pictures from this phone for some reason… sorry.)

Side by side living can definitely be a fine arrangement — some say that it is still beneficial to have the stimulation of being proximal to another rabbit, especially if there is no observed aggression.

Note that as “strangers” online, the most safe and prudent recommendations given will be to take the most cautious approach, since we are not physically witnessing nor interacting with your rabbits. Thus, I do recommend taking a complete break at this point.
Whether you decide to try bonding again in the future is your choice. As someone with two…[Read more]

Thank you & yes! He’s got a really boxy long snout 😆 Regardless he’s still super cute; The breeder I got him from also breeds New Zealand bunnies (for meat unfortunately) and the majority of the Netherland babies they are selling are majority white. Though, I don’t believe a black otter coat would be possible to achieve mixing those two…[Read more]

I’m not sure what I might do, I probably would try to separate them on Christmas day with a see-through clear plastic panel so they can at least see eachother when they are opening their presents. I might not do this, but instead if I see the slightest sign of aggression then I would separate them immediately. Either way, I will completely…[Read more]

Hi everyone! I’ll get right to the point:
The exotic animal section of my local animal hospital is closing, and we’re hoping if we bring enough attention to it, they’ll re-consider:
The Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) is a part of the University of Guelph in Ontario Canada. And without them, my bun would’ve d…[Read more]
