Hi everyone! I’ll get right to the point:
The exotic animal section of my local animal hospital is closing, and we’re hoping if we bring enough attention to it, they’ll re-consider:
The Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) is a part of the University of Guelph in Ontario Canada. And without them, my bun would’ve died. They are the only option for any major procedures and scans in my area. My bun Topper has dental disease and I bring her there every couple of months. If this place closes, I don’t know what I’ll do! The OVC isn’t local to me by any means, it’s a 2 and a half hour drive to get there… but it’s still the best option for me. She receives great care from the vets there and I am never worried how they’ll treat her.
So if you could please take a couple minutes to sign this petition, I would be so greatful!! I’m really hoping they reconsider this closure. (To make matters worse, they just announced they’re spending millions of dollars on upgrades for the regular veterinary college… it’s a big middle finger to anyone who is a non dog/cat owner).
It’s a very frustrating situation 😥
