I’m don’t know if they can be used for doors, actually. I’ve never used them but I know bun YouTubers that do use them for corners and baseboards. But definitely try searching for door frame protectors – I’m sure you’ll find something helpful!
I’ve just adopted a baby bun so I’m actually going to start looking into bunny-proofing all my corners…[Read more]

Bam replied to the topic My bunny is very territorial. ¿What can I do? in the forum BEHAVIOR 4 years, 8 months ago
Some of the behaviors you describe are likely to improve after your bun is neutered and his hormones have died down, which will take about 2 weeks. Biting and chewing on things is however normal rabbit behavior, and you should try to bunny proof his area so he doesn’t chew valuable things and/or things that could be harmful for him.
Digging on…[Read more]

Hi everyone! My name is Aida and I’m Manchas mommy. So I wanted to ask you guys your advice on this matter.

I have a male 8 month bunny, his name is Manchas. We’ve had him for a little over a month, his been more open to us now and I have noticed him more calm. He loves to explore around our appointment. I tap…[Read more] -

Bonding is almost always full of ups and downs, and I don’t think there are many things that can “ruin” a bond, aside from just letting them fight badly. So don’t stress about it!

I’ll survive! At least I will have a camping chair and my lap top. My biggest worry is things not progressing there, or me ruining things by moving upstairs Sunday. This is pretty much my last hope. Saturday they were doing so well down there, I kinda wish I would have grabbed my sleeping bag and camped out then. I have a slow work day today so…[Read more]

My doe of four months may have recently got pregnant due to an accident of leaving her pen open and her jumping into my male bunny’s pen before she could get spayed. Does pregnancy shorten a bunny’s lifespan?

Bam replied to the topic Doesn’t want to play nor Binks in the forum DIET & CARE 4 years, 8 months ago
When a bun is lying on its tum with his legs spread out, the bun is relaxed and content. That is great, because it means he feels safe and at ease. It can take a long time for the owner to achieve that in a shelter bun, so you’re doing great! That he likes to explore is great too. Buns like to lick and groom other buns, so a bun that licks stuff…[Read more]

Hi everyone!
So when I found out we were going to adopt our bunny I bought him wood toys and things for him to screw. But it doesn’t interest him. He loves to explore around but at times I feel like his an old man. He just lays on the floor with his 2 back legs spread 🤣😂. He licks his paws, legs, hands, and I’ve noticed like he likes the floo…[Read more] -

I think going back to the downstairs room is a good call, as annoying as it is! Sorry things weren’t going as smoothly in the more comfortable room!

Thank you for your reply!
His hay has some dandelion in it (Burgess) and he gets romaine lettuce and celery stalks as daily greens, with some carrot/cabbage/beet very sparingly, carrot slice and apple slice as an occasional treat.
We live in apartment, it’s freshly built. We have a dog in the neighboring flat who barks a lot, but Muffin doesn’t…[Read more]

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Unlopping Ear in the forum DIET & CARE 4 years, 8 months ago
Does the “unlop” maintain itself when she is sleeping/relaxed? I have not heard of an “unlopping”, and it’s promising that the inside looks clean — I would recommend a check-up visit to get a more educated examination, though as of right now it doesn’t seem imminently dangerous.

Yeah, so I did another 6 or so hours in the living room last night. It alternated between cuddling/ laying close, and relatively calm, to Ruby chasing/nipping, to Maxwell provoking her to play and them running around together. It was crazy when they were both running around so fast! How are they flopping on each other, then mean?:(
At times it…[Read more]

I also have a senior male bun that is prone to hormonal behaviors (excessive mounting and peeing all over)! I did have the vet check him thoroughly for bladder issues, as there have been some cases on BB where an older male bun had a bladder stone that was triggering these types of behaviors.
In my case, the vet could not find any issues, but I…[Read more]

Bam replied to the topic Found a good and very cheap chewing repellent: garlic in the forum BEHAVIOR 4 years, 8 months ago
It’s been several hours and its still working 😃
She obviously has lots of stuff to chew, cardboard boxes and apple twigs, a willow tunnel and a piece of birch wood- but anybunny would agree its way more fun to chew what youre not supposed to.

Fingers crossed, hope that she’ll leave it be! ^_^
I’ve had to reapply the garlic last night after Molly took a little nibble at the wood again. That’s about 8 days since I used it first.

Thank you both so much for taking the time to reply. This happened nearly 3 weeks ago. I was starting to feel ok (and feeling guilty about that too) but yesterday it was almost like reliving the whole thing again. Reading this when I woke up this morning helped me more than you know.

Thanks all for your responses. I have treated him for mites although once I put the treatment on he spent the rest of the day grooming himself.
I got a second opinion from a different vet they done a skin scrape test and found no mites. They found no fleas either, in fact they gave him a clean bill of health
I have gotten an air purifier and I’m…[Read more]

I could really use some advice!
My bunny is turning 8 this January. He has been neutered at age of 3 months, and had no hormonal behavior since, except for very rare mounting / chasing legs. Literally few times in all the years.

That might be it. I’ve got the heating on most of the type, I’m in South London and I hate the cold. I’m going to put the heating down to 17°c and see if it makes a difference for him. I’ll just start wearing jumpers indoors.
Thanks for that
