First off, I don’t think there is any shame in rehoming, and I think it’s very admirable of you to recognize where you may not be able to give the best care. It sounds like there are a lot of options for this in your area, so that’s great.
All of that said, it sounds like you really love this bun and would like to keep him if possible. If you are…[Read more]

Thank you, DanaNM. Bunbun does really well with eating his hay. I have to replenish it, sometimes, twice a day. I did, actually, find a toy that he IS chewing on!!! It’s a yucca log. I guess I just wasn’t giving him the right toys.

(FYI I edited your post to remove the link and put in the picture instead)
So, the consensus is that harnesses can be pretty dangerous for rabbits. If they spook or struggle while wearing one, they can injure their back. If a bun is really well trained they can be OK, but there are safer alternatives.
The backpack looks fine, the main concern…[Read more]

Hello,
I adopted my bunny a couple days ago, he is a dwarf bunny and I love him a lot. His name is Teddy and he is very sweet and curious. I struggle with severe depression and anxiety along with PTSD. Teddy has helped my depression because waking up and seeing him makes me really happy. I live in a student house and am currently in University.…[Read more]

I actually quite certain of asteroid’s sex, I did look up unisex rabbits to be sure. But I meant I was unsure if he could be neutered or was recently neutered before I got him ,was because, his male parts look dead.I could be wrong and he’s fine just old or always cold. I’m a woman l idk that stuff when comes to my own species let alone bunnies.…[Read more]

Maybe it’s better to ask this question in the members only section of the forum. I have a question: can bunnies react aggressively to a woman’s cycle?
Suddenly, out of the blue, I got bitten by both Owen AND Molly yesterday! My sweet little Mollymolly who is so timid that she tries to be friends with the furniture… 😥
They both bit me high on t…[Read more]

Thanks both for your thoughts on this!
It’s great to hear of alternative therapies such as cold laser! I will keep this in mind as a possible treatment after the meds.
And yes I thibk I will give the oxbow supplements a go as even with the pain meds she a lot better but still a little limpy now and again

I’m in at 13 points with that list!
I do have a few extra bonus crazy bun person things not on the list… I love bunny art and my coffee table coasters all have wild rabbits on them, same with my tea-coffee-sugar tins, a couple framed photos of the buns around- need to get a framed one of our new addition Bella! And I actually have 5 bunny mugs…[Read more]

Thank you. I though that was the case with litter training, but I wasn’t sure about separating them completely for bonding because they sleep in different rooms but I can just reintroduce them again after I get them neutered.

A nice quiet place to relax in (i e no barking dogs or noisy people), fragrant herbs or even a little smorgasboard of nice things to eat incl hay (of course) to spark an appetite, if they’re housed together they probably won’t need a warm water bottle, but have one ready just in case.

Maria is correct. Also you worry about certain animals being carriers. They do not become ill, but they provide a vessel for the virus where it can multiply and mutate, potentially becoming capable of spreading to other species of animals or humans.
