Wick has a good suggestion. A vet would be able to answer these types of questions much better than we can. We can only make educated guesses based on the information available to us. A vet may be guessing too, but they a have much more extensive knowledge base to rely on.

thank you!! she has started to perk up a bit more, she ate a few small pieces of lettuce and drank some water, then she pooped again! it’s looking a tiny bit bigger than the last ones and some of it looks like 2 pieces together. she acted like she wanted to come out and play so i opened her pen and she hopped around like she usually does for about…[Read more]

LBJ10 replied to the topic Can rabbits get mononucleosis? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 5 months ago
They had to suppress the rabbits’ immune systems in order for it to work. This suggests that a naturally occurring infection, if it is even possible, is extremely rare in rabbits with normal immune systems. However, if you are ill, it is never a bad idea to wash your hands before interacting with your rabbit.

I replied in your other thread on some of this as well! It is so horribly stressful having a bun in stasis!
Stasis recovery can be really slow sometimes, I return to this article often: http://www.bio.miami.edu/hare/ileus.html#:~:text=Symptoms%20of%20GI%20stasis%20include,be%20treated%20as%20an%20emergency.

Stasis can have a lot of ups and downs, it’s important to continue with the supportive care regime until she’s back to normal.
If she is refusing food, then you will need to syringe feed her. Fighting it is good though, it means she’s not feeling too awful.
When was her last dose of pain meds, etc?
It’s good you gave her a warm bottle.

Yeah I know it might not help his destructive tendencies but I’m weighing all my options..Iris my rabbit I had before Jinx did excellent as a single bunnie, but everyone of them is different so I’d like to try and see if Jinx would like a friend and if it dosnt work out that’s no problem cause I am equipped to handle to buns even if they need to…[Read more]

That’s cute! My bun, Neo also has a Japanese name (not the bun in my profile) and it means brand new, new piece. In Tswana it means gift! ♡
I actually don’t have an Instagram account for my bun right now, but maybe I’ll and share some photos to the lounge.

Those are adorable pictures!
One thing that really helped me after losing Bertha was to foster another bunny. I wasn’t ready to adopt right away, but it really helped with the emptiness feeling, and I think Bun Jovi benefitted from having a bunny as a neighbor. It was nice knowing I was helping some other…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic Bonding Jinx with another Bun in the forum BONDING 4 years, 5 months ago
It’s true that most bunnies do like having a companion, as rabbits are social by nature. 🙂
That said, it doesn’t always help with destructive behaviors, because can often end up with TWO bunnies getting into more mischief together!

I don’t think it’s something to be worried about, but if it escalates beyond light nipping you’ll have to reset the 48 hr clock.
Getting into trouble together is def bonded bunny behavior! LOL
With Miu’s pen, I would just try to disguise it as a new area. I would wipe everything down with dilute vinegar, and possibly block the view to the rest…[Read more]

Aaawww… I’m so happy for Dorian and Lillian (and you)! ♡
This bonding situation will work out, don’t worry. I love Mui’s name… in Chinese translates to plum flower or apricot. That’s so adorable. Also if it’s okay, what’s Dorian’s Instagram account? He’s total cuteness overload! ♡

Thanks Dana! Going to do the overnight tonight and thinking of just using Miu’s pen for it. (I’ll clean up the area and remodel a bit) So that should be a good way to test the smaller size.
They aren’t territorial, share food, & they did loaf around next to each other a bit yesterday. There did seem to be a little stand off where Miu wanted…[Read more]
