hHello,
Here are my three treasures. I knew very little about bunnies a year ago. But each of these were dumped near where I live.
We have not bonded them yet but that is next on our agenda. First, though, this little Jersey Wooly. She was covered in mats and she smells badly of oil. The vet got most of the mats out but she still smells…[Read more]

I’ve been nothing short of a wreck since having to put Topper down on Monday morning.
I haven’t brought myself to clean anything up around the house that was hers. Her toys, her feeder, even stray poops…. I just can’t bring myself to do it. Not yet. I work from home, so walking anywhere around the house this past week would remind me of h…[Read more]

I’ve noticed when I post from my phone I can use the emoji that are available in my phone when I text, so I wonder if that’s where they are coming from?

DanaNM replied to the topic Peeing on bunny beds in the forum BEHAVIOR 4 years, 4 months ago
I agree it could be a UTI. If you rule that out, it could just be marking because it’s a soft surface. Some bunnies can’t really have beds because they just pee on them.

i was going to suggest mashing the banana as well! It might make it smell more fragrant and enticing 🙂

How old is Gippy? It could be a symptom of a UTI, so rule that out first.
Accidental leaking while napping is typical for senior rabbits.
My bridge bunny Breintje started to lose a drop every now and then when he became 7. He fell into a really deep sleep after his massage, and sometimes he woke himself up because he lost a few drops.
Our vet…[Read more]

Welcome to BinkyBunny forums SafTo! This is an old topic, so I will lock it — I encourage you to start a new topic if you’d like further discussion on spays.
Yes, a spay will change a female rabbit’s behavior; however, it is virtually always in a “positive” direction, in terms of decreasing territorialness and other hormone-mediated…[Read more]

You could also try apple sauce, or mash the banana. If he’s got dental issues he may prefer to lick it. That’s the convenient part about defrosted banana as well: it becomes a jelly which is very easy to mix.
You could also be really cheeky and rub a bit of the mashed banana on his chin or paw. Maybe he’ll find out that it’s tasty while grooming…[Read more]

I wasn’t overly surprised since he can be fussy with new foods. He doesn’t like carrot either. I’ll keep trying him with tiny pieces of banana and maybe he’ll take to it before we’re done with his medication xD

Bam replied to the topic Judy has a wet nose in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 4 months ago
Sometimes rabbits get a wet nose, esp if it’s warm or the bun has been very active. Since rabbits only ever breathe through their noses, moisture from the breath or the ambient air can deposit around the nostrils. This is fully normal and not a sign of illness.
What to look out for is a snot around the nostrils, white or otherwise colored.…[Read more]

How typically bunny… 🙄 Bananas are bunny crack, I rarely saw one that didn’t love it. But some bunnies ignore things they don’t know yet.

Hi, my male rabbit Gippy has been peeing on some of his rabbit beds, but only like a small dot of urine at a time? (So like he doesn’t to a “full” amount of pee on the beds?
Do you think that because both my rabbit live outside 😥 with a litter box available but there is no one to stop them from doing it anywhere else. And also that they hang out…[Read more]
