It helps to move the litter box while it’s somewhat dirty, and move any blankets, toys, etc down unwashed as well. Buns are very scent oriented so having some familiar things will help her feel at home more quickly.

What you describe sounds like sticky poop or poopy butt, aka cecal dysbiosis. It’s not a veterinary emergency. It’s often manageable with some tweaking of the bun’s diet. For rabbit syphilis, injectable penicillin is more commonly used though. It’s only given as injections so it doesn’t have to go via the GI tract to work.

Awe good to know!!  I’ve definitely had a few “hold my breath” moments of worry. I honestly can’t believe she’s made it this long. And with no health problems! Her bun sister had sooo many issues.
