so i set up the cage inside the room less than 24 hours and winston has tore down the barrier gate at least 5 times. both bunnies were thumping all night and wouldn’t stop until i layed on the floor. Winston also won’t let me or oreo move without lunging, and he has boxed me a couple times as well

He could be a Dutch mix then. The blue-grey eyes are the result of the dilute gene. Vienna marked blue eyes are usually a brighter blue. At least from what I have seen. His semi-rounded head makes me think perhaps he’s mixed with a dwarf breed, although his ears are pretty big. How old is he?

We got back the urine test and its basically negative. There was a tiny bit of bacteria but so tiny that they said its probably contamination from collecting.

We did another blood test today to retest to see if the slight increase was due to dehydration or kidney disease. Should have results tomorrow!

I can’t tell from the pictures. Are his eyes blue? They almost look blue-ish, but more the color you would see with the dilute gene (vs the Vienna gene).

He’s eating really well (hay and greens) and doesn’t seem to be having any discomfort. I’ll keep an eye on him and keep doing what I’m doing for now. I just wish his poops would get a little more normal.

You can use Ivermectin to treat ear mites, but it isn’t as effective as Revolution (Selamectin). It requires several treatments spaced 14 days apart. Yes, the test for EC is a titer. You can get false negatives. We have seen urinary symptom-only EC bunnies on the forum, so that is why I brought it up.

I would keep her on junior pellets for the whole first year! You could probably incorporate some of the adult pellets as well at 7 or 8 months though.
