Ouch, that sounds like one spicy burrito 🙁

I’m happy to hear that he’s been eating some pellets though!

Apollo seems to be doing ok. He’s had pellets a few times now without any issues which is good. He has however become worse again with medicating. Yesterday he leapt off my lap (fortunately I had him well positioned and he landed on all fours) and this morning he bit me three times. I think the first two weeks I only got one or two nips, the past…[Read more]

    Welcome to BinkyBunny, SarahBest!

Since this is an older topic and you’re asking a question for your situation, I recommend you create a brand new topic to get responses! I will lock this topic.

In general, you want a rabbit litterbox to be very large, especially for a Flemish Giant, and you want to make sure you’re using only rabbit-safe…[Read more]

Hey all! I am new to this and planning on getting a Flemish Giant. As far as the litter, could I use the tidy cat breeze system?

It looks like a very typical willow, leaves, shape of the tree and location (near water).

There are many types of willow, they’re all edible for buns. They seem to like some types better than others. I have a tree of your type in my yard and my buns have all loved it.

If you can get a bigger amount the leaves dry very well and can be a nice…[Read more]

Om I’m glad she’s eating kale near you! (Both good things, eating and being social). Jelly poop is better than no poop, but obviously not ideal. Sometimes the jelly-like mucus means the colon is irritated, in some cases (more often in very young buns) it means there’s overgrowth of the wrong gut bacteria. Keep a close eye, if she starts having…[Read more]

    Hey!

Is anyone confident that this is a willow tree? Or what tree this is? I am not very good at IDing wild plants but I took some branches of this tree home with hopes to give the bunnies some fresh leafy twigs as a treat 😊

If anyone is very fimilar with this tree and can confidently confirm or deny that would be great!

The tree is located at…[Read more]

Hey! Sorry I have been offline for a little while but just wanted to say thanks for the tips and pointers about fertiliser and gardening, cant wait for things to starter growing!

I have also heard the bunny poop fertiliser thing before, seems like a cost effective way of getting great plants 😀

Oo sorry missed the bottom question

nope and doesn’t seem hugely concerned with checking, teeth are fine…I’m worried about kidneys heard there may be a sludge thing that could cause it?

but today left the house for four hours and I’ve come back to a very bright eyed bun! Who is now eating kale near me 🥳

Sometimes they’ll drink “hay tea”. You brew it much like you would normal tea, let it cool and sieve off the hay, then serve in a water bowl.

You can also steam some hay or sray some water on it. Serve normal water and hay as well, some rabbits are very suspicious of “new” food.

It does get easier with time. Did the vet show you how to hold her…[Read more]

I have two huge rabbits one is a 12 lbs and still growing and the other is 10 lbs. My current litter box is 24x18inches and 10 inches tall. They can both fit in it for now, but they are quickly outgrowing it. They have started peeing over the side on an almost daily basis. I’ve tried to put a second box in their area but they either don’t use it…[Read more]

Yes results came back on his new blood test and the kidney function is back to normal!!

We are just waiting for EC tests back because she still thinks he may have that which could cause the Gi stasis and will need to go on Fenbendazole. We will see what the blood work says.

I am still puzzled on his hormones. He was going nuts today! I will…[Read more]
