Marsh started the topic neutered bunny trying to hump me non-stop in the forum BEHAVIOR 4 years, 3 months ago

I don’t know if it’s that it’s spring, or that he’s hit puberty, or what, but my neutered rabbit keeps attempting to hump me. He didn’t show any of this kind of behavior when I adopted him. He’s also started spraying, when before he’d almost exclusively pee in his litter box. Most of the time it will be because I’m cleaning up his territorial…[Read more]

It can be a natural marking in Vienna-marked rabbits called partial heterochromia, which occurs in one or both eyes. In formal terms, the marking is blue; not white. You can see if it matches here: https://wabbitwiki.com/wiki/Vienna-marked_rabbits

    Here’s an example:

E cuniculi would be more plausible in that case. It is often transmitted from the mum to the fetus and in young rabbits it tends to manifest as clouding of the lense or white spots in the eyes.

EC is common in rabbits, but in the majority of carriers it never becomes symptomatic. It’s treatable with Panacur (fenbendazole), a slow-acting…[Read more]

A white spot in the eye can be a sign of e cuniculi, or of a bacterial infection such as pasteurella. A very good vet can sometimes do a fine needle aspiration to see if the spot contains bacteria. Not all vets can do this however.

The white spot in your bun’s eye doesn’t look like it’s pus. It’s more like a cloudiness?

I know!! He looks like a little baby and he is the sweetest most social little bunny. It’s always great when he runs up to greet me!!! I can’t help but squeal when I see him! 🙂

I do school from home so I’m almost always in my room. I also take him to our living room to watch TV. I’m planning on making him a snuggle bed soon! He doesn’t have a huge problem with peeing on the carpet, but I just can’t risk it until we move! I will do anything to make sure he is happy as a solo bun!

I think I might start him back on pellets! I used to use Kaytee Timothy Complete. Do you know if that’s a good brand or do you have any suggestions? I don’t know a lot about choosing which pellets to use.

Hello everyone! My names Oliver (Ollie) but most of the time I’m called Squishy! I’m 1.5 years old (but I still look like a baby). I’m new to the forum and I thought it was necessary to share how cute I am!!!!

That makes sense! But I have to say that neutering will also help with peeing on the carpet! If you wait too long it can be harder to break the habit, so that’s another thing to consider.

He is SO CUTE. Thank you for posting pics!

If you are doing pellet free, but your suspicion is right in that he would benefit from a much wider variety of leafy greens, and they should be more nutrient dense. The portion sounds OK, but the variety is not really enough for a pellet free diet. Celery is mostly water and doesn’t provide much…[Read more]
