Here is a website that explains a bit about various rabbit lab tests: https://dontdumprabbits.org/resources/interpreting-lab-test-results-on-rabbits/
Dehydration seems like it could explsin some of the findings, but I dont know if its reasonable to think that dehydration could be the root cause of this whole thing.
The elevated blood calcium…[Read more]

Hi
We have two sisters who have been binded from birth and are 2 years old.
We worry about how they’ll manage if one were to pass and wanted to bond additional bunnies to avoid that issue.
We also thought that adding more bunnies may help them have better matching friends as one is very playful and adventurous and the other likes to…[Read more]

Hi!
My rabbit Sage has been having some bloat related issues in the past few months. They usually start in the morning and then they resolve by afternoon the day after. We haven’t had to intervene before, but we have baby gas drops on hand if it lasts too long. She has timothy hay available to her at all times, water, and pellets in the mornings.…[Read more]

Yes, she IS pressing her advantage… 🙄
We woke up this morning to find a circle of turds all around Owen’s hutch, and Molly peed in several spots.
Yeesh, bunnies aren’t nice to each other when dominance is at stake…

This is terrible, but I have used food injector syringes before. I just took the “needle” off. The opening is a little bigger and the syringe may not be as air tight when the plunger is in.

That product is a homeopathic treatment, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s 100% safe. I would say to ask your vet before trying to use it on your bunny.
As for the antibiotic, it has only been a few days. I would wait a few more (so it has been a week total). If there has been zero improvement at that time, then I would ask your vet if you…[Read more]

HELP. My 3 year old male holland lop mix mouth breathing and really clogged nose. We took him to the vet Thursday and his appetite increased but his clogged nose got worse they put him on 0.3 mL of Baytril twice a day. Since his breathing is still bad should I buy Homeopet Nose relief for rabbits? Will it be safe to administer that to him as well…[Read more]

We’re also seeing different behaviour towards us: she’s constantly asking for attention and even lets me pet her sometimes. She suddenly seems a lot more confident, but I don’t know whether that’s real confidence or pretending because she’s anxious.
I’m going to make the most of it anyway, by giving her attention and making her more comfortable…[Read more]

I’m glad you found pet feeding syringes!
Rabbits tend to forgive and forget once they’re feeling better and nolonger needs being syringe fed. Some rabbits will become used to being syringe fed, like my Vilde. He even came hopping out into the kitchen when he heard me prepping his CC. He was old though, and on daily CC for a long time, so he had…[Read more]

Yes, you can give more than 5 ml. 5 ml looks like a lot in a syringe but it’s really just a teaspoon. But the first time my vet gave me a pre-filled 20 ml syringe with CC and told me to feed it all to my bun for his evening meal, I was like 😳😳😳 It seemed like a ton of food and my bun was so tiny!

Our Owen and Molly aren’t bonded yet because they haven’t solved the dominance issue yet.
Owen isn’t feeling well and he was sick last night: he wouldn’t eat, drink or poop, so we took him to the vet. Only now after almost a day, he’s getting better, eating some nibbles of his favourite food and pooping a little.
Owen and Molly are separated by…[Read more]
