Hi, and thank you both! I was just wondering, since bunnies can’t have playdates, would the Bunfest be unsafe as well since they’re getting introduced to other bunnies? Thank you again!

A couple of things, rabbits can’t do play dates. They form bonds where one rabbit is usually dominant to the other. The bonding process can be long and difficult and once bonded rabbits shouldn’t be separated. The most likely thing to happen in an attempted playdate is fighting between your two rabbits.

In regards to the guinea pigs, they won’t…[Read more]

Having a rescue be able to bond the rabbits for you is certainly a good option, there may be a little shake up in the relationship when you first bring them home to a new environment but at least it’s an option.

Yes regardless of gender two baby rabbits will need to be separated by 10 weeks of age, once puberty hits fights are very common even…[Read more]

He’s a very beautiful rabbit. Just as a quick thought, because he’s already neutered did the vet check him for a microchip as a precaution?

I’ve heard so many horror stories regarding animals being put into the hold’s of aircrafts, I think they must have been very lucky. I’d be fine if I knew I could check on her and make sure she is doing ok, so many have warned against it though. You also have to take your bunny out of the carrier for security check so I’ve read, which with my…[Read more]

It could be the molt, but the mechanism isnt known. Iy’s just sth most bun owners notice at the onset or during particularly heavy molts. I assume both Dorian and Miu get the absolute best and bunny appropriate food, so that wouldnt be the problem. Any bun can of course be intolerant of  certain foods, pretty much the only way to suss out what…[Read more]

I’m no expert but I agree with Bam given the research I did. Sorry not to have to add anything but I gotta say your bunny is so cute! Congrats on getting them!

I’m no expert so take what I say with some salt but I wouldn’t do any kind of playdates if your rabbit doesn’t like other buns, even if they do I wouldn’t recommend it. You never know if or when a fight’s going to break out and if the bunnies bond then you’ll be taking them from their bond mate which, from what I heard, can make them very anxious…[Read more]

Sorry for posting a lot this week, but hey!

This year, I wanted to take my bunny to Bunfest, but couldn’t find out if they were throwing it this year (if you know, please tell me!). My bunny never really liked to hang out with other bunnies, but I wanted him to socialize with them more since he’s around humans every day.

One of my friends has…[Read more]

Was the 2.00 poops normal poops? Does he have new hay (when a rabbits get anew type of hay that it really likes, it often eats more than normal. More food in obviously results in more poop out 😃) Could he have been a little more active than usual? Activity sets the gut in motion. The main reason why buns poop less during the day is because they…[Read more]

If so, for how long (for each)? Tybalt for 2 years and Freya around 1 month.
    If not, why not?

So Winston has basically made himself at home on my bed. We did have a little battle over him peeing on it at first but now I think Ive managed to communicate to him the bed is something we can share. I have noticed he is on my bed ALL the time. I go to sleep? He hops right up there and sleeps with me. I leave for the day and come home? There he…[Read more]

He seems to be having issues again today already. I just gave him a tummy massage and a couple poops came out and then he peed on me. I gave him some simethecone and am not waiting. Hopefully he is back to normal soon.

<p style=”padding-left: 120px;”>We had a member whose bun flew LuftHansa from Kuwait to Canada a cpl years back – in cargo. 1 month home  quarantine in Canada.
