Meg replied to the topic Elder bun leg falling asleep? Intermittent mobility issues :/ in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years ago

Hey everyone!  Thank you so much again for your help.  Teddy’s been mostly pretty stable, and seems to enjoy his daily “spa” sessions (of brushing with a baby brush, cleaning eyes and ears with nontoxic wet wipes, ensuring feet are clean, butt baths or wipes as needed, physical therapy, and massage).  We’ve started doing that twice daily as of to…[Read more]

Lola, lop, 4-4.5 pounds, little under 6 years old, not spayed, free roam.

Currently eating, pooping, and acting like normal. No other health issues and hasn’t had any for years.
It’s like a crater wound a little less that an inch big that goes through on one little bit as big as a rabbit bite maybe a cm more. It is not bleeding and is 60 hou…[Read more]

I want to make my bunnies some homemade wooden toys with safe wood and twine but want to be able to make them look more than just wood. I do wood burning and was wondering if I did some of that for there toys would be okay? For example if I make a wood caterpillar and burn spots to look like eyes, would that be safe for them to still chew on?

    Thank you!

I’m very happy but also still a bit in doubt. I’m hoping that this will be the final step in the process. It went very fast, but I also want to put my trust in the expert, that she knows when it’s safe to put them together again.

There were no chasing or aggression behaviours at all while bonding, and only some light mounting. They’ve…[Read more]

Aww! That’s wonderful! Congrats! Yes, sometimes all that is needed is a “strange” environment.

Is this Meloxicam/Meloxidyl? How much does she weigh? I wonder if she was given too low of a dosage.

Eating anything is good. If she will eat greens, then give her greens.

You should wash your hands, of course. But I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Hi everyone, welcome to this joyous topic! It all went faster than we could believe, but Owen and Molly are BONDED! 🕊🐰❤🐰🕊

We’d been struggling with bonding for months, both feeling that we knew too little, and me knowing that I couldn’t manage it physically.

There are few bonders in this country, let alone in our area. The shelter that we called…[Read more]

I gave her meds a little early as another friend told me If she’s grinding her teeth that meant she was in pain. Tried giving her CC she took a little but she kept backing away or wiggled when being held. She is eating veggies so I’ll just make sure she has them if she wants them.  The vet opens at 8 tomorrow ill call them and see what they…[Read more]

Dorian likes chewing cardboard boxes, he’s quite the artist. He doesn’t eat the cardboard though. Miu does, she eats lots of non food items and is much more prone to chewing than Dorian. He will copy her sometimes, but not found anything worrying. (Miu did destroy a pair of my son’s slippers,  but Dorian is off the hook there as they required him…[Read more]

Thank you so much! So petting my rabbit and handling his hay/pellets/treats after I handle the antibiotics will not pose any risk to my rabbit?
