I’m glad the vet waspleased with her! It is amazing how some buns just grow back the hair around the incision, whereas others are “bald” for 6 months! It took around 10 days for my girl!
As ithers have said, pellets can bethe last food item rabbits go back to post surgery of any kind or “just” a bad bout of stasis. Hay is by far more important,…[Read more]

Azerane replied to the topic Can Bunnies Have “Burnt” Wood in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years ago
I would think that burning on eyes etc would be perfectly fine. Keep it minimal and away from edges and raised pieces where they’re less likely to be able to chew and you shouldn’t have any problems 🙂

Lol i’m really late to this thread, but my bunny enjoys getting in trouble. Every time he’s doing something he’s not supposed to be doing such as eating freaking paint off a door, i’ll run towards him telling him to stop.. and he’ll run off binkying lmao. and less than 3-5 mins later, he’ll be back at it again. I could never say he’s a bad bunny,…[Read more]

I’m going threw this now. I’m trying to find a litter box my bun likes. She just got spayed and all litter training went out the door so i’m slowly reteaching her but the litter box i’m using is definetly too small atm. So still searching. I hope once i find the right one she likes things will go smoothly for me. Fingers Crossed

What about a foraging mat. I know my bun enjoys the stimulation of trying to find the food thats in there.

Wed she was doing good, she started eating her pellets, taking treats and veggies. I switched back to her old litter box as the new one she was peeing and pooping in her pellets. I used a new fresh bowl and gave her fresh pellets. Friday she ate her veggies but not her pellets so her poops got small again. I feed her some more veggies before i…[Read more]

Bam replied to the topic Bunny Doesnt Seem Happy? in the forum BEHAVIOR 4 years ago
It does sound very much like my bun Bam. He too was a lop. He very rarely binkied. Zero interest in toys of any kind. But he liked to lounge on his bed near his humans. He really, really liked food and cuddles.

Thats makes sense about the blankets actually because they both cliamed the blanket they dug at! Yes the face nipping put me on edge a bit too.
Today’s session has so far been great, they’ve turned a corner and have been mirroring sharing hay piles but also have times when one is flopped while the other eats, so no one seems to be territorial…[Read more]

She’s a lop. Some lops just fit the stereotype (i.e. “lazy lops”).

Thanks for the tips both! I’m in an area around a lot of horse farms actually, so thats a good suggestion! I have considered carefresh recently but they seem to be fine with wood really and I prefer to save the extra pennies to get them organic dried forages etc…. the economy these days is dire!
If anyone happens to have an brand/ online store…[Read more]

Wick & Fable, Usually when Daisy is with me, she just sits on my lap. I was thinking about getting her a tunnel, and now I defindently will.
Bam, We do have a dog, but Daisy just hops up to her. Daisy isn’t afraid of any of my other pets (2 cats and a dog). My cats are scared of her. Daisy does have space to do Binky’s but she just hops around…[Read more]
