The vet told me to monitor the swelling and to have it checked if it becomes worse or if I notice any changes in behavior.

I got home from work, and the swelling had significantly decreased. The teeth also seemed as usual.

I have used a litter screen before but her paws were getting starting to get sore hocks. Thank you for your advice and kind words; Simba will be really happy to hear that you find him adorable aha! I checked his teeth to the best of my ability this morning, and they seemed fine, but I will double-check to make sure. Hopefully, the swelling gets better soon, but I will monitor it and bring Simba to the emergency vet if necessary.
