It sounds like pinworms, and depending on the level of infestation, pinworms will cause GI upset (that can then lead to GI stasis). In terms of how they get it, pinworms can be asymptomatic for a while, so it’s difficult to actually identify how your rabbit got it as it could have been a while ago, but is not expressing itself until now. I would…[Read more]

I think his lip looks good! There’s practically no difference between the B and the 4-pictures.
I think he’ll be fine. Keep keeping an eye of course, but I dont think I need to say that 😃

It’s a very nice drawing! Here’s a picture from Medirabbit, of rabbit pinworms. The red arrows point to the worms:

Is he still not pooping as much as he should?

The only change would be my new job so I’m out of the house more than I used to be there usually alone for 8-10 hours of the day depending on what shifts I’m working. I haven’t noticed any changes in behaviour in either medical wise, both are pooping and eating/drinking normally. I think I will book a vet appointment to rule out any illness, just…[Read more]

My step sister won’t let me use her camera. So I made a replica of what I’ve seen on MS Paint.

The second picture is supposed to be smooshed poop. I’m not an artist. The white things don’t move by the way. And I haven’t seen them today so far yet I’m still concerned.

That looks very positive to me! And sounds like a great plan!
Side note, I think Freya’s ears alone are as big as Tyb! 😀

Hmmmm…. have there been any changes in your home? New pets, housemates, furniture? Sometimes a medical issue in one bun can also cause issues, are they both doing ok?
I’ve been dealing with some pre-food aggression in one of my pairs but it doesn’t escalate to fur pulling… it’s just a lot of running around. The sudden change in yours is…[Read more]

For training, you would likely need to separate them for the session (you could just use an x-pen to block off a training area). I was mostly thinking you could use the concepts to desensitize her to touching etc, you wouldn’t necessarily need to use that exact approach. The key is to build up the training sessions. The first step is to build an…[Read more]

Maybe try an air filter? I have a few I’ve made with box-fans and air filters taped to them, like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPzKh6QMnL8&ab_channel=RedFeatherDevelopmentGroup

If he isn’t pooping much that could be cause for concern. Can you offer him a big pile of fresh hay and some wet greens to see if that helps?
Agree with Bam about the worms. They can be treated by the vet, but I’d be more concerned about him not pooping as much as normal.

I have 2 Holland lops, a 2 year old female (Beatrice) and a 1 year old male (Bernard). The got them both spayed/neutered back in January and they have been successfully bonded since around march, we’ve never had any issues of fighting. Recently this past week everytime I’m preparing they breakfast they’ve started going at each other, this morni…[Read more]

Thank you Bam for your PM on how to add pictures!Uploaded above are the evolution pictures, 3=yesterday, 4=this morning, B=before the swelling.
Simba is still behaving as usual, and he is still grinding his teeth when I pet him, so I suppose he’s not in pain.
Based on the pictures, I believe Simba’s lip is back to normal (?)
Thank you all…[Read more]
