Well, as far as vacs go, it’s not bad. Definitely not as loud as my last ones.
My buns aren’t bothered by it, but nothing fazes Walter in the slightest.

- Is it pretty quiet? Im looking for a good vac for my buns room. I need something that won’t be frightening to them so I don’t have to keep taking them out of the room everytime I vaccum 😜

Bam replied to the topic not using litter box in the forum DIET & CARE 3 years, 10 months ago
It could be that she thinks the litter you use is unpleasant to sit in. Id start by looking over the litterbox-situation. If you get a second litterbox it might help. You move the litterbox to where she pees. If she thinks the litterbox is too small (rabbits prefer litterboxes on the bigger side) or too dirty, that could be cause for her to…[Read more]

my four year old dutch hotot hasn’t been using her litter box and has been peeing outside next to it instead. she started doing this a few weeks ago but i’m not sure why. is this because she needs a new litter box that smells less? or something more serious?

RHDV is throughout the western half of the US. Both domestic and wild cases have been reported in almost every state west of the Rocky Mountains. So yes, you most definitely should ask your vet about the vaccine. The disease can spread between wild and domestic rabbits. It can also be spread by insects.
If they can come and go as they please,…[Read more]

For bunny proofing I like to use NIC cube grids to block off areas with lots of wires, rather than trying to protect them individually.
As for predators and outdoor runs, chicken wire is not predator proof. It keeps chickens in but predators like coyotes can easily chew through it. You would want to use something like hardware cloth. There’s…[Read more]

Way to go Luna!
Bun Jovi is doing surprisingly well too! He even hopped around the room last night! (?!) This little dude just continues to surprise me. A week ago I thought he would never be able to stand again… and now he’s hopping around…!

That’s great! Maybe he was just having a surge of hormones before that made him extra cranky? Cranky teenagers are a thing 😆

This is very unusual!
Cleaning once a day is usually plenty, but have you tried spot cleaning twice a day to see if that helps? Can you tell whether it’s her poop or pee that smells more strongly to you?
Also have you checked her scent glands? Sometimes they become clogged and need to be cleaned occasionally. I usually check my rabbits’ when I…[Read more]

Also rabbits are pray animals so when they hear certain noises there wild instincts kick in.

Sadly all vets are fully booked up with approximately a 3 month waiting time. I just have to keep trying but I just feel I’m going around in circles. Its a really bad time right now getting any kind of vet treatment or service.

The male is in a separate room far from the two females.
All of my rabbits have been very good today which has taken me by surprise. I let the two does out and they played together all day and there was no aggression and not only that. I went to see the male bunny and I could pet him for the first time in ages. He never bit me. I could even pick…[Read more]

Luna’s a little champion, still putting on weight. She now weighs 2117g. Weighing over 2.1kg is inedible for her. New goal is 2.2kg now 😀
