Oh my goodness Ellie! That certainly is a funny image. I checked on him a couple hours after the first dose and he was sleeping with his face smashed into the pen wall (he used to do this all the time weirdly), so he might not be that far off!

He got his first dose of Tramadol today, we’ll see how it goes! He wasn’t a huge fan of the flavor but I’ve heard that buns start liking it after a few doses… gee I wonder why 🙄

I’ve been dealing with similar butt-bath woes with my senior who gets stuck on cecotropes and hates bum baths. And I had a foster with megacolon years ago… the mucous is so hard to deal with.

I have both a bottle and a bowl in my buns pen. I have the bottle for the reason you mentioned, just as a back up in case the bowl gets spilled or knocked over. They don’t use it much but do occasionally take a sip from it. Most buns figure it out naturally.

Was she bonded before?

When my bun Bertha was widowed I rebonded her with Bun Jovi, and then when Bertha passed when he was 9 away I rebonded him with Myra , and she takes great care of him (he’s now 13!). So as long as she is healthy she could be bonded.

If you can find them, phone books are really good for buns that have a lot of energy. They love to shred them up!

Glad she’s back to eating more! Agree it could have been a weird batch or even some gas. If the pickiness persists I might suspect a dental problem is starting to bother her. Food selectivity is a common first symptom.

The clrar poop is a consequence of the coccidiosis and bacterial imbalance in the gut. You should tell your vet about this, especially if the amount of goo is ample, they might want to give more fluids.
