Yep she’s already back to going crazy for it everytime she gets more lol. I’m thinking it was because of the new bag. I’ve had this problem a lot with oxbow so I’m thinking about trying some other brands out.

I’m definitely going to get her some other types of hay to try. It seems like I have this problem with oxbow a lot. One bag she loves, the next she wont eat unless I gradually switch it over. I would switch hay brands but oxbow is the only thing available where I live. I may try small pet select when this bag is gone.

I forgot to add this, but yesterday morning I found a bit of ripped up plastic from a plastic sheet that we use to protect the carpet. I’m not sure if she ingested any bits, so I was wondering if that would could be an internal cause of the problem above.

Hi, today I’ve noticed my 7-month old bunny has been peeing and drinking water a lot more frequently. I clean her litter box every night, and about 14 hours later, she already peed more than she would have in a regular 24 hours. She peed twice within the last hour, and both times the pee was unusually clear, but it normally has a yellow tint to…[Read more]

Lovely to hear about the sticky poop, PCB! The weight loss is more worrisome though.

She is doing healthy poo’s now. There has been no more diarrhea or sticky poop for a while but she is losing weight again.

The male bunny isn’t so bad now. I still have to be careful around him but I’m able to pet him but I can’t sit down with he is in the room because he is very quick on his feet and I never know if his coming to lunge and bite me. His on edge a lot of the time but at the same time he is very playful. When I clean his sleeping area or his litter tray…[Read more]

    Thank you so much LBJ10!!

They are now separated. Do they have to be in separate rooms? Or is it ok to keep them in separate playpens but the same room.

they have their vet appt on Tuesday. The person we purchased them from seemed honest and has reassured me 4 times they are both girls and I did research the farm prior to purchasing and it…[Read more]

This looks like normal behavior between two, presumably unspayed, bunnies that are starting to go through bunny puberty. Nothing in the video looks overly aggressive. There’s just some mild chasing and mounting attempts. Unfortunately, there is a good chance that things will escalate. Especially as the younger one continues to mature. Then you…[Read more]

    Hello

2 female mini Rex bunnies ( one is 4 months the other is 3 months)

my son asked for a bunny for his birthday. He is very good with animals so I agreed. We have 2 black labs (that are not near nor have access to the bunnies)

they have a large playpen area about 40 square feet. We purchased them together but they arenโ€™t f…[Read more]

I’m sorry you lost Buster. You and his parents did everything you could. As the others said, 8 week old bunnies are so fragile.

Ellie, not a nice surprise but one that Vilde bestowed on me ever so often 😂

PlumpedCuddlyBunnies, many buns cant be free roamed just at once. Most need to be pennwd at night for quite some time. Pretty much anybunny can be interested in chewing bed linen, baseboards and, in my bun’s case, the underside of my bed. The bed chewing is very…[Read more]

Oh no ๐Ÿ™ I’m so sorry to hear this. ๐Ÿ™ An 8 week old bunny really is so fragile… they did everything they could to give him a fighting chance.

Sending hugs to Buster’s humans. And it was very kind of you OP to help them out by coming to the forum.

We don’t have a kitchen scale. I’ll see what the bathroom scale gives me and post it here, see if it seems accurate. I’ll see what the vets get for her weight during her checkup, but that’s not until December-January-ish

We have one shelter about an hour away that sometimes has rabbits. I can put in an adoption application and see if they have anybody who would be a good fit in our household
