Here’s a picture of my bun’s plushie bunny (not good quality pic, but you’ll get the idea). It has embroidered eyes and nose/mouth. My bun has gnawed a little around the ears, but gnawing is allowed, its of course actually eating fabric and/or stuffing that can’t be allowed.

Aww bummer, I’m sorry! It’s really stressful when they go right for the face 🙁
I think a long break with full separation is the best plan at this point, I think two different rooms would be enough. It’s totally your call as to whether you want to try again or just call it quits. I would keep them apart for at least 4 weeks or more. There isn’t…[Read more]

Agree… i usually don’t use any soap at all for bum baths. Just water and some water baby wipes if needed.

How is his weight? If his weight is stable and he still has a good appetite for hay and pellets, then you do not need to change anything. Some older bun gain weight due to less activity, others have trouble keeping weight on, so you have to make adjustments.
Usually variation in poop size happens when hay consumption drops during certain times of…[Read more]

“Stuffies” can be great for bunnies to snuggle with. 🙂 You just want to monitor to make sure they don’t chew on it and start eating it. I found a bunny stuffy that was sold as a dog toy for my bunny that was widowed. She wasn’t too into it but if I made it “groom” her she would groom it back. Dog toys usually are safe because they don’t have…[Read more]

My oldest bun has had several of these, like tiny round ball embedded in his ear, his whole life since he’s been with me. It’s never bothered him (just me because I always want to pick it off). I’ve never even thought to ask the vet; they just look, feel, and move on.

I have an IKEA bunny plushie. I think as long as its soft and “furlike” and the materials are ok for children, it doesnt necessarily have to be a bunny plushy. One of our members had a plushy cow that her bun loved. Another member’s bun had a plushy orca.

So the vet says it look like scarred tissue. She said it’s not on the corner of her ear so she’s not worried. It doesn’t want to flake off, Venti isn’t bothered by her touching it. So she just told me to watch it just incase but she’s almost certain it’s scared tissue. 🤷🏻♀️

Status update about our bonding that has not gone very well. We tried to have shorter sessions as you suggested but today Netta got another wound on her lip in less than 30 seconds. My husband took her to the vet and luckily, it is not nearly as bad as last time. The bunnies were faces against each other a few seconds and then they started to…[Read more]

Hi. I’m looking into getting some kind of cuddly plush toy for our bunny. He had a Gi stasis episode last summer and has a been traumatised I think by his night spent at the clinic without us, and since he has developed some kind of separation anxiety. I simply wanted to check if anyone has any experience with getting a cuddly toy for their bunny,…[Read more]

Like any other packaged product, as long as it’s not somehow contaminated by something, there shouldn’t be concern of mites or bugs.
If you are asking about infestation deterrent abilities, that’s not something any litter has particularly. It is up to the owner to regularly clean a rabbit’s enclosure and provide ideal conditions to ensure a…[Read more]

Me and my husband have called the vets which are now saying we cannot get an appointment until the 24th of November, we are trying different ways to get rid of the mites like decontaminating their indoor hutch in a safe way and ensuring the hay is now gone until I find a more reputable supplier.
Unfortunately it is still not deemed an emergency…[Read more]

Hi! I edited put the product link.
Calendula can be used on buns. Tee Tree Oil is however toxic to most animals. I would personally not use any product containing Tee Tree Oil on a rabbit, or a guinea pig tbh. Even small amounts can cause skin irritation and/or respiratory problems. When I’ve needed to actually use schampoo on a rabbit (butt…[Read more]

One bun is around 12+. I have not really changed his diet and was wondering if that’s needed. If so, what changes are necessary. I see some pellets are marketed for older buns but when looking at the nutritional content, they are not necessarily that different. We have tried one bag of Science Selective Mature 4+. Is there anything else I should…[Read more]

Hello, thank you for replying so fast!
I should have mentioned this in the first thread, but are mites and other bugs a possibility in this bedding?
Sorry, thank you once again!
