What is she doing when you hear the clicking? Is her jaw moving? Bunnies will click their teeth together when they are happy and relaxed. They call it “purring”.

Yaaay! Probably gas then, when it gets out buns tend to just snap back immediately, like nothing even happened.
It’s very scary for the human though. I think most of us bun parents suffer from some degree of bun-induced PTSD.

Thank you so much!
i ended up going to bed and I heard him in the middle of the night playing with his ball .
when I woke up the next morning he was acting his normal self! Food gone and water almost goneI was so relieved!!!
and he still is his normal self.
I get nervous because I lost 2 bunnies within a year apart. This bunny is my baby and he…[Read more] -

I agree it sounds like gas. Try to get him to move, it helps gas move through. Be gentle but firm, he should move some every 20 minutes or so until this passes.
You can give simethicone baby gas drops. 1 ml first, then O.5 ml of whatever strenght you can get (tends to be 20-40%).
Don’t force food. Water can be given but no more than 2 ml per 1-2…[Read more]

It sounds like it could be gas. At least our bunnies usually lay flat like that when they have gas. Its good to get him to move around, as it can help it work through his tummy.
Is he eating ok? Thats also usually another sign if he is not.
Do you have simethicone drops on hand? You can find them in the baby section of most grocery/department…[Read more]

My 2 year old rabbit was his normal self until tonight when I gave him his 2nd round of dry food.
he has been laying in his litter box not eating. Ears feel cool. He is an indoor rabbit. He has been laying flat on his belly.
I got him to move around but still not eating and went back in his litter box.Last night my daughter accidentally dropped…[Read more]

Bam replied to the topic Okay to feed Gus veggies & pellets together, once a day? in the forum DIET & CARE 1 month, 2 weeks ago
You can. If he has hay and water the rest of the time, he’s all set. I have to do that now bc my little boy Lage was deemed fat by the vet at his recent vaccination appt. So now it’s hay only with a once daily snack of fresh grass. (I do sneak his bonded partner some pellets, because she isn’t fat.)
It’s great for the whole of Gus if he eats a…[Read more]

We have done both with our buns (spaced out and together) and I find the buns don’t care as they like getting food whenever they can lol. But in my human brain, its nice to spread things out a little, but it doesn’t have to be a whole day apart. 🙂

I don’t think it would matter too much. I may not give the pellets and veggies together just because it’s nice to space things out. But I don’t think it’s necessary to have such a large gap either. You can always try a different schedule and see how it goes.

Hello,
Short Story: Can I feed Gus veggies and pellets at the same time, once a day, as long as he gets unlimited hay and water?
Long Story: Gustavo has been on the same diet for at least a year or two now where I feed him pellets around 9AM and veggies around 5-8PM, with unlimited hay/water. I’m finding, due to my disabilities, it has been…[Read more]

Yep, that’s definitely the attitude of a teenage bun lol. He will most likely become a decent, upstanding bunny boy as he gets older (like teenage hooms mellow out).
Our youngest bun, Arthas, likes to come up for pets, then binky and shake away right before you touch him. If you DO happen to touch him, he whips around and grooms himself as if he…[Read more]

8 months old? Sassy? Yep, sounds about right to me. Typical teenage bunny. Honestly, I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong. Just keep doing what you’re doing. Things will likely evolve with your relationship as he gets older and matures a little bit.
As for the brushing, sometimes there’s just no way around it. Do what you gotta do and then…[Read more]

hey guys! I’ve had my rabbit Theodore for about 8 months now. He was about 3 months old when I adopted him. (he was a shelter rescue). I should also mention that he’s neutered.

he’s very sassy. he snorts at me almost constantly– petting him, putting his food bowl down, even sometimes when I do the crime of *gasp* standing up if he happens to…[Read more]

Raelinn & Gus replied to the topic Tips for brushing a bun who hates being brushed? in the forum DIET & CARE 1 month, 3 weeks ago
I have not, but that is mainly due to the fact I am uber afraid of him being outside. Whether due to possible pesticides or treatments on the grass, an RHDV2 outbreak, or just him getting out, I have chosen to keep him strictly indoors for my own sanity!
I have recently discovered that he does not mind being lint rolled, he seems to genuinely…[Read more]

A week ago I took both my buns to the vet when Lage, the younger, more skittish one of them, was getting his yearly RVHD-vaccination. I figured he needed his girlfriend Snöa for moral support. Everything went well.
The day after I caught Snöa humping Lage’s head. I’ve never seen either of them showing any kind of aggression towards the o…[Read more]

I adopted a bunny awhile back (its been several years ago now) who came from the shelter pregnant – unbeknownst to anyone. It was quite a shock! That’s pretty crazy both breeder and vet missed their genders with your buns!
I would suggest watching some videos/read some tutorials on sexing bunnies. Now that you have some little ones (and don’t…[Read more]

I know it is not a plastic bin but find it super useful.  I bought a bag from Canadian Tire that you put  your outdoor cushions in.  I bring it with me to pick up the bale and place it in the bag then I can bring the bag inside and the van is clean and the floors bringing it in.  also if you would like plastic the deck boxes for your cushions and…[Read more]
