I’m very sorry you lost him. I was hoping for a better outcome since you recently saw some improvement. You really did everything you could for him, but he was just too sick. You both fought so bravely.

It is very hard to lose a beloved bun.

    Binky free Wolfie 💔

    Thank you for the update.

    A final update.

my brave boy fought so incredibly hard, but has fought his final battle. I feel he was absolutely failed by vets who simply took too long to treat him.

my previous baby Wolfie. I truly could have not asked for a more kind, gentle & caring soul. I will miss you for eternity my boy. and i will forever ask God why.

My rabbit who had glaucoma, was prescribed Dorzolamide.  It did help with her pressure.

Yes, how is he doing now? I imagine the not eating was because he was upset/stressed from the fight. Hopefully some quiet time was all he needed.

I’ll make note of your suggestions. Thanks!

I’m located in a city in Vietnam. We do have vets here for dogs and cats but no exotic animal vets. Honestly I’m just happy I found the one I have now. She started drooling in March, so the vet checked the inside of her mouth and said Pumpkin had fur on the inside of her cheeks but the rest of her molar…[Read more]

Poor Archie. 🙁 Don’t beat yourself up too much, accidents happen sometimes. Of course it would be good to add an extra fence to be sure this doesn’t happen again. It’s very fortunate someone was there to separate them right away.

The broken nail will likely heal fine, just be sure the bleeding stopped and monitor for signs of infection. Check…[Read more]

If it is housed with another rabbit the other rabbit is probably pulling fur from it?

Agreed w/ @Bam — as long as your rabbit is eating hay and good-quality rabbit pellets, nutritionally, the rabbit should be fine. Veggies also don’t contribute much w/ weight either. I would be more concerned about your rabbit’s overall level of hydration though. You mention there are not many rabbit-savvy vets in your country– do you mind…[Read more]

If your bun can eat hay and pellets she will get the nutrients she needs from that, esp if you vary the types of hay she gets. You can dry some vegetables for her if you want to give her vegetables. Kale, dandelion greens, apple leaves and other edible leaves, thin slices of carrot (carrot should be considered a treat) dry very well. I’m sure you…[Read more]

My bun Pumpkin has fur growing inside her cheeks that get inflamed when she eats vegetables or anything that isn’t dried. She’s losing a lot of weight due to lack of nutrients in her diet. There aren’t any bunny savvy vets in my country so what so you think I should do?

should I give her injections of vitamins every month or keep feeding her v…[Read more]

Is Noel your only rabbit or is there another rabbit Noel interacts with? If there is another rabbit, this is something commonly seen when one rabbit is ripping off the fur of another, specifically during humping, and is a sign that these rabbits should be separated. You can review proper bonding procedures here:…[Read more]

    Hello friends,

was recently grooming my bunny Noel when I noticed a patch of exposed skin that looked reddish and irritated. It doesn’t look like it’s bleeding but it may be some sort of open sore? Should I take my rabbit to the vet, apply some sort of cream or disinfectant? Thank you in advanced

The cautionary approach would be to take both rabbits to the vet for a thorough physical exam– sometimes things can be easily missed w/ all their fur and fluff, and also a very common mechanism for rabbits is to act “normal” when they are injured (personally one of my rabbits broke his toe, literally two pieces of bone, and acted completely…[Read more]

I accidentally left the area between where my sister keeps her rabbit (Minty) and I keep my rabbit (Archie) unblocked, and they got into a fight. Luckily my sister saw almost right away, but her rabbit (while being very sweet with humans and children) is very aggressive where other rabbits are involved. Minty is completely uninjured, not fazed in…[Read more]
