Yes, that is commonly used for rabbits. As Bam said, it’s safe as an eye drop.

Tobramycon in eye drops is considered bunny safe by the House Rabbit Society. It should not be given orally to rabbits, but it’s not uncommon for rabbits to get it in  eye drops.

    Hi can anyone help me?
My bunny had her tear duct flushed because it was clocked. She was prescribed an antibiotic eye drops for 5 days to clear out any infection if there is any. 3-4 times a day one drop each time. The eye drops contain Tobramycin. Is this alright? I’m asking because that’s not my usual rabbit savy vet so

    Thank you

I don’t currently have a plan on what to do if they fight in-cabin as I am only allowed two carriers and the rules state they aren’t allowed to come out of said carriers during the flight. Any advice/ideas on this are definitely welcome.

I’d love to bond them, however, Marnie is not spayed yet. She is about nine-ish months old and I haven’t been…[Read more]

Thank you for sharing your experience! I hope things will go as well as they did for you!

Eating is definitely the top priority, I’m trying to figure out how to manage that with them being scared due to the plane and stuff.

How big is the box? I use a large cat litter box, which almost seems too small at times.

I’m not sure if my rabbits litter box is too small or if it’s because I’m now putting their hay in the box and he doesn’t face the right way but he keeps going pee over the edge onto his cage

their hay bin broke and I wanted to try putting the hay in the box to prevent hay getting on my floor

    any suggestions?

    Hi!

I have a rex rabbit who’s about 4 years old now, and I found a bump on each side of his face on the skin right under his eyes. It’s in the same spot on both sides. I’m wondering if this is maybe an ingrown whisker or something more serious? Attaching picture and hopeful someone else has seen this before!!

I agree with Wick, the dog mustnt be allowed to play with the rabbit. A GSD is big and heavy. It can accidentally hurt the rabbit without meaning any harm. Dogs can also get excited when they play and  see the rabbit as prey, much like when a  dog plays with a stuffy toy. They’ll throw the toy into the air and catch it and shake it etc.

    This is a…[Read more]

Based on what you’ve described, I would not put them together at all again.  “Adorable” moments are obviously cute, but safety is the priority and the requirement, and it sounds like how she wants to interact is not safe. She may have good intentions, but they are different animals and how she wants to play is unsafe for a rabbit. There are many…[Read more]

unfortunately I had to take my computer to repairs earlier today so I wasn’t able to get a photo, but she tried to start puppy-type playing with him and ended up almost hurting him. Luckily I was there and I think that she understood she has to be calm around them. My cousin is attempting to save up money for a small dog for me, simply because I…[Read more]

I used artificial tear eye drops. The vet said as needed, so it was a couple times per day (which was about all he would tolerate).

Only a small slice of banana! Bananas have a lot of sugar, so you don’t want them eating a lot.

Nothing. Unless you are immunocompromised (think HIV, cancer, etc.), then it is very unlikely you will develop an EC infection. Besides, if he is actively shedding spores (which he probably isn’t), then you would have been exposed long before this by cleaning his litter box, etc.

A piece of paper litter fell in my cup, and I didn’t notice until I’d already taken a drink. He tested positive for e. cuniculi a few months ago. What do I do?
