VJSFunHonBun started the topic Clear Odorless Liquid Coming from 8 Year Old Healthy Buck in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 2 years, 8 months ago
I hope someone can help because I’m worried about my baby. His name is Regal (because he rules the house lol), and lately he had two incidents where clear, orderless liquid came from his bottom, that he left on the couch, and 2 days later on the rug. He is a free roam rabbit and litter box trained. He’s very well trained when it comes to using his…[Read more]

How are you sitting? If the floor is hard, I usually lean against a wall and have my legs out, rather than trying to cross my legs or sit on my knees.

I don’t know if this is the right topic place for this or not, I think it is but I’ve been wrong before. Anyway I’ve been trying to sit on the floor in front of Thumper and Blossom’s x-pens but I can’t sit with them for long due to the hard lament flooring hurting my back and legs so my question is does anyone have any tips or have suggestions on…[Read more]

I agree that it could just be gas. Unless, of course, she has symptoms consistent with Wick’s link. Were you able to get your bunny to a vet? How is she now?

It could be a gas aattck (rather than true bloat). If it just started an hour ago then it’s usually OK to give a tummy rum and simethicone and monitor. But if you see signs of true bloat like Wick&Fable linked, then it would be an emergency and she needs to be seen by a vet.
How is she doing this morning?

It is best to leave diagnostics for any emergency situation to a veterinarian who can properly assess your rabbit.
Here is a video that can provide some guidance on bloat vs stasis: https://youtu.be/iVW6Rw5rZzo
… Generally, the big indicator is whether the rabbit’s body is ballooning and hard.
You can find additional information about the…[Read more]

I have forwarded this to our admin. You’re quite right, if you can post in the Tech Stuff, section you dont need a different login for any of the oth other sections.
If you like to, you can start a new thread about your Diet-and-care-question here in the tech stuff section, and I’ll move it to Diet and Care. (Whole threads can be moved by a…[Read more]

When I try to post to Diet and Care, the webpage shows I’m not logged in. I’m certainly logged in, but when I click on Create Topic, nothing happens. Many other pages show that I’m logged in. I’ve also seen somewhere that a separate login is required for the forum, but I don’t think I’ve even found where to do that. If I’m posting here, I mus…[Read more]

Decided it wasn’t worth the risk. Took a lot of time and work to replace and now my car has hay in cracks that will prob never be clean again, but don’t have to worry now.

Yeah, I was thinking the wooden frame with the fabric stretched tight. Like those cat beds, but rabbit size.

I just recently found mold in a new hay bag, purchased from a local farmer. It had a smell like earth (soil), plus it was greyish. At the bottom of the bag I found wet black mold. Black mold is toxic. We’ve had a (serious) lot of rain here since mid June, so I’m guessing the hay had absorbed ambient moisture during storage.
I looked it up online…[Read more]

I would say trust your gut. If it smells more musty than normal and feels damp, it likely got some moisture at some point and has gotten some mold. If possible you could contact the seller and request a replacement.
If this was purchased from the Binky Bunny store please use this contact form to get assistance:…[Read more]

I buy these mini bales as they are economical and usually seem pretty good. But I just opened one that felt a bit dank, and one end had turned hard and dark along the edge. I removed all of that and put it in a plastic tub with the lid on and a humidity sensor inside. It’s up to 49%.
I’m trying to judge what to do with the rest of the hay. No…[Read more]
