If he’s unable to eat his hay you should take him to the vet. They can give him pain meds and check to see if he has any other injuries. If he isn’t eating hay he may not drink much water. Is it offered from a bowl or bottle? A bottle might be painful to use.
Keep offering him pellet mash to make sure he’s eating enough. I would not give banana…[Read more]

Hello
I’m hoping for some advice please.
I have two house rabbits, aged around 4.5 years. Both had myxomatosis a couple of years back and lost part of their noses as a result but their health is generally good
Around three weeks ago both started some mild snuffling. One sneezed quite frequently and repetitively. Blocked nose symptoms really.…[Read more]

@Dana, the run is ready-made. They are excellent runs, I have 2 adjoining ones at home and 1 at my mum’s. It’s a German brand called Kerbl. They’re not mink proof (obviously) but for daytime use they’re perfect. My dream is getting a set of connective rabbit tunnels so I could connect the veranda and the runs safely!

I mushed up some of his pellets with water and some banana and he seemed to eat that but i haven’t heard him drinking any water. when i put him in his hutch for the night i can usually hear him guzzling water but i didn’t last night and he hasn’t been interested in hay for the last couple days.

Thank you! We’ve finally settled on Choux as his name! He is a very silly and sweet boy. 😀 <3
@Bam I love that run you have! Is it something you put together yourself? I’ve been scheming about building a bunny run and/or catio, although I’m not sure if our new kitties have as much interest going outside as Toby did.

Is he eating ok? It will likely grow out just fine. He may appreciate having his salad chopped into smaller pieces. I would just keep an eye on it (and the lower ones) as it grows out. If things start to get misaligned he may need a filing or two, but I’ve had this happen with a past guinea pig and it grew out over a few weeks without any problems.

Dana, I saw him on insta 🥰 Choux is a great bunny name, both pastry and cabbage!
We got a week of summer that lasted until the 10th. Buns enjoyed rain free afternoons in the run in my mum’s garden:

Hi! I’m new to the forum. My question is whether anyone with a free-roaming bunny has had experience with getting new carpeting. My husband and I would like to get wall-to-wall carpeting installed but are concerned that the off-gassing might be harmful to our little Spud.

I have personally had good luck with Azithromycin, but some say it can reduce appetite. So can Baytril though. Well… any antibiotic really. It really just depends on the bunny. It’s really going to depend on what bacteria is actually causing the symptoms.

I’m sorry @HareIvoryWhiskers 🙁 That sounds like a lot of unnecessary drama and it can be very frustrating to see animals being mistreated online.
In happier news that some of you may have seen on Insta, Myra had a wonderful date with a very sweet bun so we adopted him! His shelter name was Creampuff, his foster had been calling him Puff. We’re…[Read more]
