    Hi everyone,

I have a unspayed female and a neutered male and both of them get on great but last night I noticed them trying to hump each other (they did this at the start but not in ages) and now I think she has started to nest. I adopted Forrest(male) and they told me he was neutered already and I was trying to get Hopper(female) spayed but…[Read more]

I agree with Dana. Adrenal issues can trigger hormonal behavior in older, neutered buns. Considering he is buzzing AND honking, this may be something to explore with the vet. Otherwise, bladder stones can trigger humping behavior.

Hello! I’m pretty new to the forum and not completely sure how to work everything so bare with me and sorry if this question was already made a thread! Anyway, I’ve recently gotten a baby Holland lop, 10 weeks old now. I know I’m not supposed to feed him veggies or really anything besides hay and pellets right now but I’m wanting to give him som…[Read more]

Rabbits are smarter than a lot of people think. They are very intelligent and are capable of doing all sorts of things. I have found that the puzzle toys meant for small animals are WAY too simple. Dog puzzle toys are more challenging and provide a lot of stimulus. They can figure them out, you just have to make sure that any maneuvers required to…[Read more]

Thank you so much for this advice, it has really really helped. I phoned the vets this morning for a little advice and they aslo said, providing the hock is a nice pink and not swollen or cracked, she should be fine. *smiles happily*

I have layered alot more blankets down on the floor so her feet actually have something to sink into instead of…[Read more]

I’m sorry this happened, I hope you and your children aren’t too traumatized. However, considering the circumstances it was a completely normal bunny reaction so please don’t get rid of her.

You got great advice from everyone, I really have nothing to add except, latching onto someone and not letting go isn’t really something rabbits normally do,…[Read more]

Dana: I’m sorry about Bertha, losing her over the holidays must have been especially hard. I hope Myra provides some extra bunny love and nose boops to help you feel better.

jersey: I’m so sorry you lost three of your fur babies, that’s so sad. They had a wonderful life with you for their human, I know that.

Hugs to the both of…[Read more]

    Thank you for your response.

They are an exotics specialist and today I had her with the vet that works with a lot more rabbits than the vet we had yesterday.

The lady told me they suspect an ear infection? And without doing all those lab tests they have no way of confirming so they wanted me to try these antibiotics.

    Personally I feel awful…[Read more]

My rabbits are all smart buy oh boy my girl rabbit is a genius! She can open ex pens and gets extremely bored if she isn’t entertained. Something she loves is those little stacker cups for babies…does binky bunny sell those? They’re not expensive and you could put his pellets in each level and make him open or unstack them to get his dinner out.…[Read more]

I’m so sorry you are dealing with this. What a horrible situation. 🙁

I do not know very much about rabbit seizures, but this info on medirabbit might be helpful:

    http://www.medirabbit.com/EN/Neurology/seizure.htm

It says that rabbits can be left blind from seizures in some cases.

I am bit surprised to see the vet gave antibiotics, did they…[Read more]

My bun came from a home where are was fed unlimited pellets and was very fat. She refused to eat hay at first too. I let her have a bit more pellets than I normally feed plus her usual twice a day salad and told her look kid, at this house we eat hay. Eventually she got hungry and ate her hay. But she doesn’t have dental issues so your problem…[Read more]

Hello I came on her to seek some help.
I have a two year old female holland lop. Recently she has been suffering from seizures and they have been happening quite a bit. I took her to the vet yesterday and they said she seemed in perfect health and to give her pain meds and critical care. After the vet she seemed to get much worse. Not accepting…[Read more]
