Hi Everyone! Yeah, I’d almost given up checking the site because it just seemed like it was never returning…well I have to say THANK GOD BB.com is back! ^_^
Hey LHM, good to see you’re still rescuing. 6 bunnies?? Wow, I had my hands full with 3!
Jerz, your new fellow looks a real charmer. Loving the name. How are you doing otherwise? Is…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic how to tell a bunny no in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 4 months ago
@BeauBunny Hahah it’s not really a technique! I just set the sprayer so it’s kinda drops instead of a stream and aiming it more above her rather than at her. Again I didn’t used to do this very often! Just when all else failed! I considered it more of a distraction technique than a training method.

Hi Bwawee,
Ditto everything Hazel said (esp concerning indoor housing and spaying). I have never heard of doe’s becoming aggressive post spay, but reproductive cancers are a real risk and tend to cut females life span by half on average.
Some bonded pairs are fine with neighbors, some get upset about other rabbits nearby, it depends on the pair.…[Read more]

Just wanted to place another thought here in memoriam of Goosey. xx
It’s so hard to write RB posts and tributes. Somehow there just aren’t words to describe what’s in the heart, especially to help fill that empty space. You’ve done so well with all your bunnies, Jerz, they were all so lucky to have you as their carer. ((((((Huge…[Read more]

Leaving my thoughts for you here, albeit very tardy, but deeply felt. I’m so sorry Ailis has gone to the bridge. :'( Gentle hugs, hopefully even now, to bring some comfort your way. xx

I’m in Oregon now too. Moved from Alaska about 4 years ago. South coast. We should try to meet up some time.
Thinking of you and sending comforting vibes your way. xx

Nobody has had an issue with eating or pooping so we’re good there! 2 dates ago though we did the carrier but just in the house and I guess I moved it around too much because Clover was chomping her teeth for a good 5 minutes, and I really sunny want her to be THAT stressed. Yesterday I put her and Ben into the carrier and they immediately went at…[Read more]

I’m sorry you lost your pair to Myxo 😥
Fighting is to be expected between unbonded bunnies. Bonding is a long process that includes weeks of prebonding and proper face to face bonding sessions, as well as having all of the rabbits spayed and neutered beforehand. I would reconsider having our girl spayed. There are exceptions as you’ve…[Read more]

Hazel replied to the topic Is hay for litterbox safe? in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 4 months ago
Agreed, hay in the litterbox is fine. If you ever want to try out actual litter, feed stores usually sell pine pellets for horse stalls. I get mine at Tractor Supply. It’s about $6 for a 40 lbs bag.

Wonderful to hear that hay is ok to use! I clean it out and rinse out every day anyway so that’s good!
Yeah that was my 2 human kids plate of snacks LOL they shared a strawberry for each bun!
Thank you so much, I had a bunny growing up, but I didn’t know what I know now that’s for sure! He still lived to the ripe old age of 12 or more if…[Read more]
