kella started the topic Infected toenail!! What should I do??? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years, 4 months ago
Ok so I just joined this site because I’m at my wits end in regards to my rabbit. He lost a toenail (as all rabbits do occasionally) on his back right foot several weeks ago but Thursday night we noticed the stub was really swollen and looked to be infected. We tried getting ahold of different vets in the area but so many places are closed or h…[Read more]

Yes, his eyes look normal, I think the reason he’s flinching and not reacting to some nearby thing is because he’s younger and a little skittish. Thanks for the help!

Welcome! 🙂
Are your bunnies spayed/neutered? How big is their litterbox? Rabbits like to go while they eat, so placing their hay in or above the litterbox can help a lot.

Hello everyone! I am new to this and I can’t wait to meet everyone’s adorable buns <33
So, my rabbit Teddy (floppy eared one in my profile picture) may/may not have mites. He has this dandruffy/ white area that isn’t getting worse but isn’t going, and when I brush it it isn’t disappearing. He is living with my other bun Daisy, and she has no da…[Read more]

Hey! I’m new here and I can’t wait to get to know your buns better ❤️
Ive been trying to litter train my rabbits for over a year (Yes, I’ve struggled) 😂 and they just knock the bedding out/chew it/ don’t poo in it. What are some tips for them to be trained better/for it to not move around by them flinging it? Thanks, Mommy of Teddy and Daisy <3 🐰… -
Lops4Life! replied to the topic Need advice on whether or not to keep my bunnies together in the forum BONDING 6 years, 4 months ago
Hey! Your rabbits are adorable! The way that they are lying by each other is great! It means they are fairly comfortable with each other, as there are no fighting, which is always a great sign! I think you should have them spend a night maybe together, preferably indoors so you can monitor them overnight, and make sure they don’t fight/you are t…[Read more]

Hi!
I’ve gotten 4 or 5 friend requests and I haven’t been able to accept them. I have just gotten a 404 error? This happened to Hazel when I sent her one as well? Thanks for your help! 😁

Is Louie running into things when hes out exercising? Seeing that he’s a young rabbit, he should have quite a bit of energy and do zoomies/the bunny 500s and binkies.
All rabbits have a blind spot right in front of their nose, where they cant see anything at all due to the placement of their eyes. They have an exceptionally wide field of vision…[Read more]

Sounds like a success so far. 🙂
Mosby is also very good at getting into something and by the time I walk in the room he just sits there looking at me like “What is it mom…?” Those cats… 😆

Hazel replied to the topic Ollie has Ringworm – Advice needed! in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years, 4 months ago
I’m sorry you’re still dealing with this. I don’t know if this will be helpful at all, but one of my rabbits had flaking/baldness starting around his ears. He was (mis)diagnosed with ringworm at first and prescribed an antifungal cream. In the end a different vet diagnosed him with mites and gave oral Ivermectin a couple of times, which cleared it…[Read more]

Hazel replied to the topic Diet for a 2 month old bunny in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 4 months ago
Welcome, and congrats on your new bunny!
She only needs one source of Alfalfa, I prefer to feed Alfalfa pellets with Timothy hay as they will take switching pellets easier than switching hay when it’s time to put them on an adult diet. Young rabbits are supposed to get “unlimited” pellets, but if their food bowl is empty a few hours per day…[Read more]

Hazel replied to the topic My bunny keeps nipping me?? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years, 4 months ago
Agree with LBJ and Bam. Every rabbit will nip (for various reasons), it’s their main way of communicating, they aren’t very verbal. Are you housing them together at this point? Since you don’t know how old they are you should keep them separated until they have been fixed. One of them could end up being a boy as they are very hard to sex…[Read more]
