well if your room is small, free-roaming is a good option in just your room. since the room is small, it would be trickier for him to get lost and get into other things.

The sleeper poops do not sound too problematic based on a single occurrence. I am curious about your statement of her not controlling her bladder. It raises the thought if she might have some sort of bladder infection or other ailment that’s making her urinate when she may not want to. Is she drinking more fluids than usual? What color is her…[Read more]

Well, I know all their reasons and financially is not one of them. My mom is worried that we don’t have space and I know that I have enough space in my room, and my dad doesn’t have any reasons. He is just kinda going with whatever my mom says. 😢🤷♀️🤷♀️

I’m just now reading this thread. I’m so happy to see she is doing better. And yes, I agree with the others. I saw that dewlap and was like “uh oh, he might be a she”.
You will have to keep us updated on her progress. I think she will come around eventually. 🙂

Hi splotchesthebun,
Do you know your parents’ specific reasons? It could very well be financial, and if that’s the case it would be best to understand your parents are doing the best they can, and it would not be fair to a bunny to adopt it when you can’t plan for it financially. Many people think of a rabbit as “just a rabbit”, and your parents…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic My three female rabbits are not getting along, what should I do? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years, 4 months ago
This is unfortunately a very common problem when rabbits were living together as babies, and one or both rabbits hit puberty. Females hit puberty later, so the timing checks out.
Baby rabbits do not truly bond (although this is a common misconception), and unspayed/unneutered rabbits do not truly bond because ongoing hormones cause them to get…[Read more]

I have three un-neutered female rabbits who were getting along just fine when we got them 8 months ago. They are now about 1 year old, and one of them is getting mean and biting the others. They all hump each other, too, which I understand is normal. I don’t have a vet locally that can spay them. One of them recently had a false pregnancy. They…[Read more]

I’ve witnessed a few mishaps before. Slick floors and crazy bunnies don’t always mix well. I would suggest getting another rug… preferably one that isn’t going to slide around on the floor. We actually purchased a super long runner to go from the rabbit room to the big rug in the living room. Everything else is hot lava. 😉

I think he’s just being an energetic happy bunny. My rabbits run around all the time when they have free roam time, as for the wood floors, not sure. My rabbits can’t walk on my wood floors. Did he seem to be having trouble on the floor while he was running around? How big is your rug?

Okay! Thanks for your advice. The essay/google slides is in progress. Thanks @WilburBunny. But there is this one bun that I have gotten REALLY attached to, and my parents don’t get that either. They lived with many animals, so they never really had to ask for one. How do you think I can make them understand?
thank you so much,

Today I was sitting around as my bun had some free roam time, and he went completely crazy! he was zooming around and running very fast and acting super wild. I have two concerns, is this a “happy fun” behavior? And I’m also worried he will slip and hurt himself doing this, I have wood floors and I do have a rug he binkies on, but I’m worried when…[Read more]

Phone books are safe, except for any glossy pages, so I usually just rip those out. I have found the buns to be more interested in the seagrass mats than the timothy ones. If you are in an area where it is safe to forage for things (not in an RHDV area), bamboo (with young leaves and shoots), fresh willow, and any other safe fresh twigs will…[Read more]

I always ask another person for help. The other person sits the bun in his lap, the benny’s back against his belly, much like the bun is sitting on a chair. Then I do the clipping. Some buns are willing to take a small (very small, f ex one sunflower seed) treat between each nail, but some buns are too stressed out to take a treat.
The bun may…[Read more]
