Ah thanks Hazel, interesting! He has groomed her a bit today but she definitely grooms him more – they’ve been very loved up so hopefully now just a case of cementing the bond with more full-day sessions.

I believe Revolution works against ticks, so you could ask your vet for a prescription if it becomes an ongoing problem. (obligatory PSA, never use Frontline on rabbits! it can kill them 🙁 ).

It does sound like dental problems. Sometimes vets dont see what’s wrong, even though they look with an otoscope at the molars. It can for example be difficult if the rabbit doesnt sit still enough. This happened with my bun, when he stopped eating last fall. I went to a different vet clinic for a 2and opinion, they identified problem and burred his teeth.

I should have been clearer in my original post: I was not the one who accompanied Hunny during her appointment. My sister was. She is of the opinion we are doing everything we possibly can, and she told me everything the vet said to her. Did they only look at the front teeth? To check the molars the rabbit has to be sedated. If that wasn’t done then she needs to go back to the vet.
