Ok so we just went to the vet today and they do think it’s an upper respiratory infection. They gave me Orbifloxacin, has anyone used this before?

Louiethebunny replied to the topic How to prevent the litter box from messing up the whole house? Looking for recs in the forum HABITATS AND TOYS 6 years, 4 months ago
I use a large cat-sized litter box with the door removed, like @DanaNM talks about above, and it really keeps the mess inside. I put carefresh and hay in the box, and other than a few loose strands of hay, everything is contained inside and the mess is kept to a minimum. There’s a little “vent” at the top of my litter box and i placed it near an…[Read more]

my personal favorite is the super bun, Louie does it on the wood floor, he just sprawls out with his paws extended, it’s the cutest!

Another way to help the process along is wiping up accidents with paper towels then placing the soiled paper towel in the litter box, so the scent of the urine is associated with the litter box, and placing stray poops in there as well.

Broccoli can cause gas in some buns. Pretty much anything in the cabbage family (which includes kale, broccoli, cauliflower, mustard greens, arugula) can, but some are more likely to than others (arugula isn’t really known to but I do think one of my buns was sensitive to it). Cabbage itself, cauliflower, and broccoli are the worst gas…[Read more]

@DanaNM touched on everything I would have!
I will also add that bringing her to the litter area every 10min may confuse her. Typically, you want to bring the rabbit there immediately after or right before an accident, so the association is made. Bringing her there without a pattern may make it a place of frustration for her.

PastelBunny started the topic Potential Eye Problem? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years, 4 months ago
Hi everybody, a few days ago I noticed matted hair near my bunny’s right eye. For context she is 8 weeks old and has been with us for a little over a week now. I did a quick research and read it may be due to dental problems or a blocked tear duct. I gently swab her eye area with my finger and didn’t feel any moisture/wetness, is it something I s…[Read more]

Snap on the play tunnel @princedorianthebun 🙂
Such graceful pictures of everyone’s animals – an absolute cuteness overload! <3
Here’s tybalt having his patience tested while I take a million cute pictures of him:

And of course, nothing gets his attention like the sound of pellets being rattled somewhere:

Bam replied to the topic Suspected torn ligament – help! in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years, 4 months ago
A splint and bandage sounds good to me. I gather the vet believes the ligament is partly ruptured, otherwise I think they’d suggest surgery. The bun should not hop around too much these next few weeks, so cage rest will probably be necessary.
Your picture is not showing, I will send you a PM to see if we can fix that.

Dorian loafs a lot, he varies between what we call the bun or the baguette (he basically just gets super long and melted, but the back legs don’t kick out all the way). In evening he’ll flop and do the side lounge (forgot what she called it)

My bunny’s a 3.5 month old mini lop called Tybalt and he’s very playful, confident and sweet/affectionate I’d say 🙂

Thank you all so much! Hunny hasn’t eaten anything yet today (as far as I know). She has a fabric tube she likes to sleep in and has spent the day hiding in there. It kinda makes me nervous to see that. It’s hard to be patient lol. She has done a few poops in the tube; they are normal-sized but bean-shaped or ovals…

Ditto Louiethebunny! Tybalt loves sleeping in a loaf or the flop – sometimes when I’m working on my laptop on the bed I’ll hear a light thud only to look over and see he’s just flopped and is in a blissfully deep sleep haha
