Ah yes, some bunnies can ONLY have hay in the litter box, or they see anywhere with hay as the litter box. I have also seen set-ups where the food bowl and water dish are only accessible from inside the box which can help as well.

Bun Jovi snores! At first I was very alarmed by it because it almost sounded like wheezing but then I learned bunnies can and do snore.  He doesn’t do it when he’s active, only when sleeping in a particular position.

The chewing behavior is so strange. I do still wonder if it’s because her teeth were over-filed though, even though I guess you did somewhat see that before all of this started?

We have not tried that, yet, no. Hunny takes her meds without much issue. She just HATES the Critical Care, for some frustrating reason. Since my last post from this morning, I’ve seen Hunny eat three strawberry tops. She struggled to actually chew them, and pieces kept falling out of her mouth, but she eventually got them all down, save for the leaves (she had no problem eating them prior to whatever she has now). I agree it’s prob the stress of the puppy. You might want to reduce the contact they have even more until she’s back to normal then move more slowly. Puppies and rabbits are a tough mix as everything is a chew toy to puppies, and everything is a predator to rabbits. Recovering from stasis is a slow process, it will take a while for her body to get back to normal. She is eating at times, and pooping which is great. I  know it’s hard, but try to stay patient. 🙂

When I give meds I either sit on a chair with bun on my lap, or on the table on a towel, that way they can’t squirm away. Do the bun-rito once you’ve got him on the table. The C-grip Wick described is the way to go for sure.

The two would need to be housed separately. There is a major possibility that the family’s rabbit would react with territorial aggression with another rabbit coming into the territory. It’s not for certain, but is likely. House rabbits aren’t the type of pet that can have spontaneous playdates, especially in one of the rabbit’s territory.

I just got my mom to help me and she couldn’t do it either. He’s soooo squirmy. Do you think the vet could do it…for free? He’s probably consumed about .2 ml of his 1ml daily dose and that’s from me squirting it onto his feet and him licking it off. I have orange drip stains all over my walls lol. This is sooo annoying!

Wilbur is a 3.5 month old blue tort Holland lop. Super brave and adventurous and always forgives me no matter what I do. Yesterday I brought him to the vet and the lady came out to the car (because of covid) saying “he was very sassy” lol. For some reason I’m not able to add a picture but he is my profile pic.

Most antibiotics taste terrible… some more so than others.

Have you tried sitting on him? I’ve had a lot of luck with that method in the past.
