It isn’t unusual for a bunny to obsess over a toy and then get bored with it. I try to rotate toys so old things become new again.

I totally understand your family’s point of view, wanting to trust your vet rather than listening to strangers on the internet. They’re thinking “the vet is a professional, she should know best”. However, the vet is still just one person with one opinion, and she doesn’t know everything. For example, there are many rabbits who die every year…[Read more]

When there uphigher, there is less places for them to go. But you do have to watch they won’t try escape. The top of a washing machine is another spot I used as 3 side were blocked off and I could lock the 4th with my body.
Lots of video links here in case you hadn’t seen those. It’s true though, the rabbits used in videos are often good candid…[Read more]

Gooseman reminds me of what my rabbit also does. Instead of a box, she likes to sit on uneven surface! She’d flop on half hardwood floor (upper half body) and half blanket surface (lower half body), and even better if they are different height lol
tybalt photo is totally meme worthy, reminds me of kermit the frog mirror meme

I just remember this after I submitted my 1st reply. Was it Moonshine that got all weird one time & you finally figured out it was the smell of another rabbit or animal on your clothes that set him off?
I’m just wondering if maybe your cat got in on Joey’s toys? Would that be enough to put her off them or do they hang out a lot.

Hey Sonn 👋🏻
I know this sounds odd but could it be because she’s feeling content? My rabbits have never really taken to playing with toys tbh but the times when TimTim (for instance) will chew on items is when he’s kinda ratty or got some excess energy. Or prompting human to top up hay or offer other placating foods… 🙄
Something to try to see…[Read more]

Thanks for the suggestion Jerseygirl, I’ve tried putting him on my bed to do the but he’s like “oh yay a new place I’m going to explore” so he ends up zooming all over my bed! New places don’t really calm him down they excite him🤦♀️ I’ll try a counter top though. I’m watching all these YouTube videos and the bun JUST SITS THERE! How is that eve…[Read more]

Good news! I just called the vet and they’re going to show me how to do it! Hopefully they can, I just really need someone to show me my rabbit is able to take medicine! I’m going at 4 so I’ll update after that. It’s going to be raining so hopefully they let me come inside!

Well, they got about 10min of leg stretch in the L-bend as a result of tense chasing, bopping, growling, and fur-pulling. It was tame at first, but continually escalated in tension until it was a tussle each time one of them moved essentially. I think I was a large contributor in this — while I am successful at calming Wick back down and getting…[Read more]

I think it would be worth trying with some fruit purée or pumpkin purée. He’s not to young and it’s only a small amount. If he does t eat that out of a dish, you can at least draw it up into a bigger syringe and try give again, so the dose is not wasted.
My preferred method with difficult-to-medicate buns is to put them up on a countertop. Think…[Read more]

You can also purchase a litter screen. The BinkyBunny store sells custom made ones, as well as a pre-made kit: https://store.binkybunny.com/litter-box-screen-kit–preorder–bb-k200-p181.aspx …. https://store.binkybunny.com/litter-box-screen-custom-size—pre-order-bb-c200-p206.aspx

Hunny was three pounds, three ounces when she was weighed last week.
Still no change from my girl. She couldn’t bite her favorite hay cookie, and when I broke it down soaked like last week, she almost choked on a piece wheeling it around in her mouth.
Hunny tried so hard to eat hay and veggies this morning. We would get nibbles, or she would…[Read more]

Lol! My mom has used that reference so much in the last day! Do you think he’s old enough for the banana? I’m scared it will hurt his stomach since I haven’t given him any fruits or veggies yet. He seemed fine at the vet, the vet came out to our car saying he was super sassy and wouldn’t stop exploring😆 I really hope the vet could show me how to…[Read more]

I also use something similar to what @Wick has mentioned above – my bunnies both seem to love them because it’s so roomy and there’s a lot less mess. They’re rubbermaid type storage containers, without the lid obviously! But they’re the “under the bed” ones that don’t have as high of edges. I think they were around $5 a piece!
Also, just a…[Read more]

I don’t think he’s had molar spurs before, I think they just filed down his front teeth in the past. But it does make sense that he could be getting food stuck in his mouth because the few times I’ve seen him make kind of a “blech!” face it’s been when he was eating greens that would probably catch more easily than hay or pellets. I’m keeping a…[Read more]
