I use the Petco brand paper cat litter. It’s exactly the same as the one with a picture of a rabbit but pound for pound costs less. However! Watch paper litter because a lot contains baking soda so you need to be sure your bun isn’t interested in eating it. It could expand in their tum and cause stasis.

We have a lot of bunny proofing but my boyfriend got complacent and left out headphones where a rabbit was playing who had never chewed cords before. All of a sudden from the other room I hear “Clover what have you done I trusted you!”. Turns out he caught her hopping around with the chewed off cord in her mouth. The moral of the story is…[Read more]

You know what to rule out which is important, so most others work, it mostly depends what your rabbit will prefer. I like carefresh paper based bedding because it is sofit on his feet and it is very absorbant, others prefer pellets, or shredded paper.

Thank you Hazel. Hunny took most of her Critical Care tonight, and I’m so proud of her. I’m just worried she won’t poop because this is her first night without motility meds…
I plan to spend more time with Hunny tonight. I’m just so worried the worst is gonna happen. I love my girl so much. Sorry to be a broken record lol ๐
What should I do…[Read more]

Hi, everybody, I would just like to ask what is your favourites type of rabbit litter and what is the best kind of litter to use
(I know not to use cat litter or cedar etc)

I know you’re doing everything you can for Hunny. I was hoping my post might help your family be a little more open minded, with regards to you I know I’m preaching to the choir. ๐
I hope the new vet can help. Maybe it would be helpful if you took a video of her trying to eat and send it to the vet before your appointment? It might help them…[Read more]

I see Gizmo and Bonnie have very different reaction to greens, haha!
Sable’s paws-together pose is so adorable! They’re so tiny ๐
Check out these equally uncomfortable cuties:

Bonding, yay!

Ops, for some reason I thought Sable was a boy. I shouldn’t have called her handsome, my bad. ๐ย She’s beautiful! Bonnie is very cute too, her white nose… I don’t blame you for wanting to keep her! I’m glad she’s learning to relax, after 3 years in the shelter it’s no wonder she’s a little skittish, poor thing.
Tybalt looks very sweet, no…[Read more]

There should be some sort of pre op exam prior to her going through with the spay. Have you mentioned this to the vet? Make sure to do so.
I know there are harmless bumps and then there are harmful bumps. Unfortunately, based on your rabbit’s age, my initial thoughts is this may be a symptom of uterine cancer. If that’s the case, the vet will…[Read more]

Her nipples are there, yes. These are different bumps. One of them did have liquid come out, but mostly they literally completely shrink until they are gone and then there are new ones on different places.

Thank you for the kind words, Bam. I’m trying to give as much love and help to my girl as I possibly can. You certainly are right about the slow recovery. Iย did manage to get Hunny to eat 1/4 of aย Vitakraft Carrot Slim, as well as several nibbles from a tiny chunk ofย Kaytee Timothy Hay Cube. They are some of her favorite treats, and it made me fe…[Read more]

Looks good to me? I do think sometimes they get bored during these long sessions so moving between two spots might really help.
Also, I know it is stressful for humans to stress their bunnies, but have you done any car rides with them?
It sounds like Fable really wants to be friends, but Wick doesn’t “need” her. And why would he, with you as his…[Read more]

Small update: I was able to scrounge up enough spare connectors and grids to create an enclosed space in the balcony, so it’ll be a neutral spot they can go to for exercise together. Downsides are that it is getting hotter and also there are bugs…. and I’m very worried about the bugs. The thought of them biting my rabbits makes me very…[Read more]

That’s great news and I’m glad you’ve learned a new method! Whether the feet have something to launch off of is an important point. Best of luck with this method!!
