We had a little bit of circling earlier but they stop as soon as I say their names. Otherwise they’ve been laying together and Eliot was binkying all over the place, they were eating out of the same bowl, sharing the litterbox. I think the issue is Shiloh is in the submissive position (she’s the one who grooms when Eliot requests faaar more often…[Read more]

He’s a stubborn one! The neuter day can’t come soon enough, I expect.

You had mentioned in your other thread about the enclosed litter box. Are you able to remove the top of that and see how that goes for now? I do think it being bigger box is a step in the right direction.

Are you able to raise the bowls up on a low box or shelf?

My mother in law is an exotics vet and has checked her out several times and basically just chalked it up to her being spoiled to me taking care of it for her but I really want to find a way to fix that because I know it can’t be comfy for her. It’s mainly urine, there’s very rarely any poop. Her litter box is a large cat litter box lined with…[Read more]

I just noticed that my Holland Lop, Anis, has a little yellow around the nose… Does it look like an infection? Wanting to make sure if I should take her to the vet.

    thanks!

I think for my bun’s condo I used some heavy duty double stick tape for attaching vinyl tiles to plywood (since I figured the bunnies wouldn’t be in contact with it at all). I think it was actually meant to be used for carpeting but it’s worked well so far (I think it’s been like 6 or 7 years?).

I also “think” that wood glue is non-toxic, but…[Read more]

    They look lovely!

Yes definitely good to “cement” things in neutral for at least 24-48 hours before changing things up. Sometimes scuffles can break out overnight after a day of peace.

But they seem to be coming along great! Positive signs to look for: sharing litter box, sharing food, grooming each other, cuddling, being able to be in each…[Read more]

They’ve been doing really well so far! No nipping/chasing. I think the night out on the lanai was good for them (not super comfortable for me but at least it’s warm where I live lol). We moved back inside and still not seeing any nipping/chasing and they’ve been eating together and grooming. I’m going to give them another day or two out in neutral…[Read more]

Right now he has big litter box with walls. There’s Carefresh and hay in it + three bowls one with pallets, one with vegetables and third with water. Also there was a carrier full of day on one of the walls. I took the blanket and everything else that was there because he was pissing and pooping all over but it didn’t help as he’s still doing…[Read more]

It sounds like he is following his natural instinct, rather than being stupid. Humans don’t “teach” rabbits to use the litter box per say — we more so take advantage of a natural tendency in fixed rabbits to go to the bathroom in routine places, especially while eating.

It sounds like he wanted to use the restroom in that corner which makes…[Read more]

When some rabbits pee outside of their litter box, it can sometimes point to a UTI, but since your rabbit isn’t neutered, it could be territorial? It is strange that he would pee in his food.
