Have you tried the foam tiles out yet? What did/are you planning on covering the edges with? I’ve been putting off buying the rubber flooring because it’s so dang expensive.

I agree with Dana. Since he’s a small breed, he’s probably close to full size now. Bunnies are certainly neutered at young ages. I know shelters do this a lot because it’s more important to get them out the door. There may be some benefits to waiting, but I think 9 months is overkill for a small bunny like Beau. There really isn’t a magic number though.

Yes, for general cleaning, a vinegar/water mix is usually best.

All of their litter boxes are big enough for both of them. They have like 6 litter boxes lol. I figured the more they have the quicker they’ll get potty trained but for some reason my female rabbit pees directly in front of them 🙁 Ive never seen them fight so I don’t think that is the problem but thank you for your advice!

Do they both try to use the litter box at the same time? Nothing is worse that 2 bunnies fighting to pee in the litter box at the same time. 🙄

Thank you. He turned 4 months on Tuesday. I will miss the baby bunny snuggles for sure but as long as the neuter curbs his biting I’m okay with it! I was hoping it was just hormonal and not a bad habit or personality trait he had.

Thank you! Yes, he has a large area to himself (4’x7’) but I still feel so bad when he sits there with his adorable little face and stares out at me! 😭

As Loui said, it’s probably bunny puberty. How old is he? Before young rabbits hit puberty, they’re often quite easy going and cuddly. Adults on the other hand are more opinionated, not into cuddling or being picked up. I agree with Dana that a rabbit smelling and being dirty is unusual if the rabbit is healthy and the litterbox is being cleaned regularly. I am also curious about your routine and cleaning method.

Also, is he neutered? Unfixed rabbits can leave more fragrant droppings due to oils from marking.

Thank you for all of your advice. I would prefer to get a pet sitter but we don’t actually know how long we are going for so it could be longer than a month. For that reason I would not want to leave them and it would be extremely expensive to pay for a petsitter for that long.
