Wow @princedorian i looked up the spay+neuter prices near me and my local shelter charges $90 too, which is much cheaper than the independent clinics here. $800 is absurd!

That’s crazy, the spay & neuter clinic attached to our animal shelter charges $90 (spay or neuter). I am not sure the time they take for walk ins, but Dorian was there for a day and I think that’s mainly because the shelter pets get done when they have time between regular appointments… I think the shelter dropped him off in the morning sometime…[Read more]

Hi DanaNM, I’m sorry I’m responding so late, he is in a pen, but I put him in his cage at night and I didn’t free roam him because there could have been some animals that would easily get to him.

@princedorian: Yup! Louie gets disinterested in the plain hay in his litter box, so I collect cereal boxes, tissue boxes, milk cartons, etc. to turn into hay dispensers for him to play with. His xpen is pretty much his home base as he free roams the entire room, but I’m not ready to get rid of it yet. 😉

YAY Louie pics! is that a tissue box hay dispenser? That’s actually a great idea! He’s got a nice set up there.

@talesOfTybalt that house is great! I think of getting a bun friend for Dorian too, but not sure about the logistics yet.

That’s pretty absurd. I live in a pretty pricey area and although my bun was neutered at the shelter, here, neutering is closer to $500. I love how he uses the crook of the shoulder of the toy bunny to rest his head in when he sleeps :’) I have started seriously thinking of getting him a REAL friend though…

Glad to hear he started drinking again! I don’t know if germs are a problem with sipper bottles, but its well known that most rabbits drink more from bowls. Except for some buns who really think its fun to drink from a sipper and will keep you awake at night doing just that 😂

I think Dorian’s is the cutest (I mean he is my bun, so I may be very biased!), so he shouldn’t be jealous… but don’t want to risk it! Just noticed the both have the little socks on their paws.
