Now that louie has been with our family for a couple months, he’s getting into mischief every day! Here I’m gonna post some of his adventures and everyone else can share their buns stories! Today I pushed my bed away from the wall just a few inches to vacuum, and Louie squished in there and got underneath! I had to get his treats and pellets to…[Read more]

Louiethebunny replied to the topic how to get rabbit to stop peeing/pooping in bed in the forum BEHAVIOR 6 years, 2 months ago
i hope so too! I’m thinking of buying a tablecloth/shower curtain of some sort to put over my bed when I’m gone so if he does pee or leave droppings, it doesn’t get into my sheets and such, hopefully I can train him out of this behavior.

I adopted my bun at 5 months and he was already neutered, its different for every bunny. If you’re looking for a rabbit savvy vet, I would definitely check out your local rabbit rescue or shelter!

I know teenage behavior doesn’t always allow for it, but ideally, you want to hold off on neutering until they’re done growing, as teenage hormones play a big part in proper skeletal development (especially important for heavy breeds like Flemmies). Giant breeds keep growing until about 9-12 months of age, sometimes longer.

I haven’t, I just want to mention that you can get horse stall pellets (which is exactly the same thing as feline pine) at feed stores for a fraction of the price. I get mine at Tractor Supply, $6 for 40 lbs.

I had awful problems with my rabbit being allergic to almost all bedding options when he was a baby and regularly getting respiratory infections.
When I swapped to breeder celect the problems stopped. It’s a compressed newspaper pellet – no other chemicals. You won’t find it in the supermarket but can get it in Pets at home or amazon. It see…[Read more]

Hello everyone,
I have a 7.5 year old dwarf lop called Bertie and he is absolutely the best bunny in the world, I’m so lucky to have such a friendly funny (not so) little guy in my life. He’s a free range house rabbit with a ‘burrow’ built in to the bottom of a built in cupboard. He doesn’t have a bunny friend but either me or my partner a…[Read more]

Trixieandcookies started the topic How to get bunny to eat more hay in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 2 months ago
Hello! I was just wondering how to make hay more attractive to my bun? She eats just enough but not as much as she used to could this be because she was growing? She is a year and almost 2Â months old now. I would like to see her eating more but if this is okay then I don’t think I need to worry. Thank you everyone!

Panacur for 28 days is for e cuniculi-treatment, which has nothing to do with pinworms.
Its possible that some eggs survived the last treatment round. Where I am, pinworms in rabbits are commonly treated with panacur for 5 days, then wait 10-14 days and give 5 more days of panacur. This is because eggs that survived the first round of panacur…[Read more]

I hope I hear back about the blood test soon, too. My family and I worry Hunny will never be able to eat hay or veggies again…
Doom and gloom aside, the past couple days, things have been going as well as they can with our girl. Yesterday, in addition to pellets, Hunny ate 81 ml of Critical Care, which is more than she had the previous three…[Read more]
